A great place for a shady adventure 🌳

Nymans Woodlands is in West Sussex, there’s a few routes and they all loop. So you cannot get lost. We spent just over an hour walking around with Vinnie. They even have redwood trees, which are particularly close to our hearts because we got married amongst redwoods back in 2018.

We even stopped via Bolney Wine Estate for a cheeky vino and some lunch before heading home 🍷a perfect day.

We found Nymans Woodlands via a very handy app called Go Jauntly - walking app - introduced to me by Ali from Ali Clifford [incredibusy] ™ London] ™ London 🌳🚶🏻‍♀️

It’s also a National Trust destination. Happy days!

Another plastic free swap for ya 🍒🍏

Choosing loose fruit and veggies from wherever you buy them. Granted, some offer more than others and prices can vary, but there’s always at least one or two swaps to be made.

One fab provider in Brighton & Hove is The Sussex Peasant - they sell the best seasonal produce from our local farmers. Making sure the farmers get a fair price and we get top quality.

What are Brighton & Hove peeps refilling?

Today I popped into to ask the lovely Jess and Carla what’s popular with their customers.

Oats, lentils and washing liquid came up top.

These shops are so important for helping us to shop more ethically and sustainably. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable, so do go and have a look for yourself if you leave or work neat SevenDials in Brighton.

After much testing we are finally happy with the results we get from the brand

We already use their surface spray refills and love those too.

Another plastic free swap 🥛milk in glass bottles

Waking up to milk delivered to your doorstep is so bloody nostalgic and delightful, we love it.

For a few years now we’ve been getting a mix of Kefir, Dairy Milk and Oat Milk from our local milkman. He does his rounds in his electric van and comes in the middle of the night.

We’ve left him a note online to explain where to leave and collect our milk bottles. Our payment is taken every week and we skip the days we don’t need it. So simple.
