Enactus Sussex is a part of the global Enactus network, a student-run non-profit organisation giving students experience and valuable business and entrepreneurial skills while improving the lives of those in need. HOW
Each university team sets up sustainable social enterprise projects aimed at specific community groups which are designed to ‘help people help themselves’, i.e. transfer skill
s/knowledge and support to enable particular groups to succeed in the future. Enactus offers students the opportunity to make positive differences in communities whilst gaining experience, skills, and entrepreneurial skills to aid them in their future life. There is a regional and then a national competition every year with 40 UK universities attending. Enactus Sussex is now in its 12th year and has some amazing projects to get involved with! PROJECTS
Revive - Collects laptops from businesses before wiping them and sending them off to schools in deprived areas. Revive's work is now more important than ever, with many students in need of laptops due to the global pandemic. Revive seeks to reduce both tech disparity and tech waste. Talents of all kinds are welcome within Revive's marketing, sales, logistics, and IT departments. Jifunza - Designing a curriculum and training programme to get disadvantaged youth into business and social entrepreneurship, improving their prospects and social mobility, and helping them empower their whole communities from the grass roots.
