The Friends Group has only been active sporadically over the last few years. Someone new is needed to take over the reins (including an email address with which to contact CityParks when necessary).

Unfortunately one of the few remaining black benches in the park was vandalised recently. I asked the Council if it could be repaired, but I suspect it can’t be as it has now been removed.

I have asked if it can be replaced as it was in a prime spot looking out at the tennis courts. We will see what the Council can come up with.

It is such a pity as it was an elegant and comfortable bench in a popular spot. 🙁 Jannet

UPDATE: The Council’s Bench Service is currently suspended, so no chance of a replacement bench in the short term.
