Despite the extreme temperatures and very dry growing conditions this year, the gardening group were able to harvest some massive carrots at Shore House last week. Clients were delighted with the haul, especially the unusual shapes! These carrots were taken straight into the kitchen, and a client made them into a stir fry to share with everyone. Delicious!

Creating a Serenity Space.
Clients of our Detox Support and Recovery Project have been working hard on creating a new Serenity Space in the garden at the project over the past few months.
Many clients have been passionate about creating a quiet area for much needed decompression and have contributed in many different ways: either building and painting flowers beds/boxes, repairing the bench, creating pieces of art for the walls or weeding and planting.
This beautiful space offers a tranquil area to gather their thoughts, do yoga, meditate and decompress during the often emotionally turbulent treatment process. Even the local fox has been enjoying it 😊
