What a wonderful first week it has been as we welcomed our learners back for the new academic year! 🎉

The College has been full of energy, familiar faces and new beginnings as our continuing learners returned and we welcomed new learners joining us through our staggered starts.

From settling into new routines and reconnecting with friends and staff, to getting ready for another year of learning and new opportunities — it has been lovely to see our College community come back to life.

St. John’s College can offer weekly, termly or 52-week residential placements at one of our CQC registered houses.

All residents are supported to develop the skills they will need for adult life. Money skills, shopping, food preparation, laundry, and household tasks are all core aspects of each resident's individualised programme.

🌟 Well done, Callum! 🌟

Callum recently took part in a Reverse Jobs Fair at the University of Sussex, where interns showcased their skills, experience, CVs and achievements to potential employers.

This was a huge milestone for Callum, who has grown in confidence since joining the Supported Internship programme. He spoke independently with employers, demonstrating excellent communication skills, professionalism and self-confidence.

Reflecting on the day, Callum said:
"I enjoyed talking to people today and I liked the way they didn't rush me."

We're incredibly proud of everything Callum has achieved and can't wait to see what he does next! 👏✨
