Thanks to staff wellbeing funding from the Blagrave Trust, the Children and Young People’s team enjoyed a brilliant creative evening together last term!

After pizza and salad, Tom from Hot Fox Pottery taught us how to turn pinch pots into mini masterpieces 🎨✨

A huge thank you to Hot Fox Pottery for such a fun, relaxed, and engaging session!

🌳✨ Our Act of Hope ✨🌳

This week, our youth workers at the Young People's Centre are taking part in by creating our very own Hope Tree 💚

We started the tree with the help of our amazing 18–25 year old “Springing” group. It may not have many leaves yet, but over the week we’ll be inviting young people and staff across YPC to add their own messages of hope, kindness, care and connection 🍃

Every leaf represents a reminder that even small acts can make a big difference in our community.

☀️Perfect sunny weather for our Central Team away day. Started off with a brainstorming session for our staff annual conference coming up in June - focusing in on how the central team intertwines with each of the many services Impact offers.

Followed by a really enjoyable team building session of croquet. All of us beginners, we really appreciated Mark a volunteer from Hove Beach Croquet Club CIC teaching us the rules and tactics of the game. 🏆

🌊 Lovely lunch afterwards Yellowave would definitely recommend the cakes! All in all, a really positive day and the team is refreshed and ready for anything.

Amelia and Adam from our Youth Work team had a great time at Brighton Metropolitan College Summer Safety event at the Pelham Campus ☀️

They spoke with students about the ways they support their wellbeing, and shared information about the support available.💬

Students also learned about the school nurse ChatHealth text service, making it even easier to reach out for advice and support when they need it.

It’s always inspiring to see young people engaging in conversations about their wellbeing 💛

🚨 Urgent: Trustee Training – Safeguarding Responsibilities 🚨

Safeguarding is not optional - it’s a core legal and governance responsibility for every charity trustee.

If you’re a trustee (or work with one), you’ll know that boards are ultimately accountable for ensuring everyone connected to the organisation is protected from harm and that robust policies, reporting, and risk management are in place.

That’s why we’re running a focused evening training session:
👉 Safeguarding Responsibilities in Charity Governance delivered by our expert trainer Rachel Batten.

This session will help trustees:
✔ Understand their legal and governance duties
✔ Strengthen safeguarding culture at board level
✔ Gain confidence in managing risk, incidents, and accountability
✔ Ensure their organisation meets Charity Commission expectations
🗓️ Limited spaces available

If you or your network are trustees, senior leaders, or governance professionals, please don’t delay — this is essential training.
👉 Book your place now: https://impact-initiatives.org.uk/events/evening-session-trustee-training-safeguarding-responsibilities-in-charity-governance/

Please also share with anyone in your network who would benefit - helping trustees stay informed keeps people safe.
