FRESHERS' FAIR 2026 ⭐️

25/09/2026

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our former colleague, Diane Lace.

Di dedicated an incredible 45 years to BSU, bringing energy, warmth and passion to the Eastbourne Campus. She was a beloved ‘Uni auntie/grandma’ to thousands of students and will always be part of the BSU family.

Thank you for everything, Di ❤️

If you knew Di, please share your memories with us, which we’ll pass on to her family.

📢 Falmer Campus: we want to hear from you

The University has made significant announcements about the future of the Falmer Campus and its trade union agreements.

We’re already in conversation with the University about both issues, and it’s important that students have a say in what happens next.

💬 We want to hear your views.
How do you feel about the announcements? What questions or concerns do you have? What would you like to see happen?

📩 Share your thoughts with us at [email protected]

As alumni, you have the power to inspire the next generation 💡

Every year, Beepurple, the student enterprise team at the University of Brighton, organises a week-long course called StartUp Hive, which equips students with the tools and skills to set up their own businesses.

As part of StartUp Hive, they welcome back alumni speakers who have gone on to launch their own businesses – some of whom first began their entrepreneurial journey through previous StartUp Hives! ❤️

Hear from three students – Kitty Anita Gwolitya (Computer Science), Rosie Ellen Birch (Creative Writing/Brighton Student Union Communities Officer) and Mohamed Elzeny (Finance and Investment) – as they share what they gained from hearing directly from alumni who have been there and done it themselves👇
