Our fabulous colleague Helen will be running the Brighton Marathon Weekend Marathon for Oasis this Sunday. She has been training so hard and with a few injuries to boot, not to mention her day job at Oasis!

Our incredible, inspirational colleague Mel celebrated 25 years with Oasis Project this week!

We are so lucky to have Mel leading our S*x Worker's Outreach Project. For all her knowledge and experience, a more humble coworker you could not hope for.

Having started at Oasis as a volunteer over 25 years ago before going on to a paid role in the earliest version of our S*x Worker's service, Mel has since led the project, adapting to many changes in this complex area of work.

To this day, Mel continues late night outreach every Wednesday and her focus is absolutely and always on the needs and experiences of the women she supports.

Thank you, Mel - we love you.

It was such a joy to spend time together creating collages, sharing ideas, and celebrating the strength and creativity of women and girls. We were also incredibly inspired by the powerful speech from a student, Char, which was a reminder of how passionate and thoughtful the next generation truly is.

We’re so grateful for the funds you raised and for the warm welcome you gave us. Your support helps us continue our work and makes a real difference.

Yesterday some of the Oasis team took part in Trauma-Informed Approaches training.

A great opportunity to reflect on how we embed trauma-informed practice in our work and strengthen the environments we create for the people we support.

We explored key principles including safety, trust, collaboration, empowerment and cultural awareness.
