📣Important info for families in Brighton and Hove!📣

As of September 2026, schools in Brighton and Hove will have to adhere to new national uniform policy.

This legislation asks schools to limit the number of branded uniform items in their school uniform policy.

💚Primary schools can have 3 branded uniform items
💚Secondary schools can have 3 branded uniform items (or 4 if the fourth is a tie).

We welcome these changes! Having more unbranded uniform in the city means we can keep more uniform in circulation and keep costs down for families.

This means less textile waste in landfill and more money in your pockets!♻💸

It is , a global day of action inspiring reuse.

Much of the school uniform we use is made of polyester, this makes it last longer. But if it is discarded, it can take between 200 and 500 years to break down whilst releasing microplastics into the environment, just like fast fashion.
