Today our Sikh Men’s Health & Wellbeing group enjoyed a fantastic cooking session, bringing everyone together in a private kitchen to share ideas, prepare and cook a healthy Punjabi meal, before sitting down to enjoy it together.

🍽️ On the menu:
• Bhindi Sabji
• Red Lentil Daal
• Roti/Flatbread made with fine oatmeal flour and puréed spinach

Following lunch, our facilitator Santiago provided updates on the programme and discussed plans for future community kitchen sessions.

Today’s gathering was a successful taster ahead of launching larger community-facing cooking events, where we’ll invite partners, family, friends and the wider community to cook, learn and share healthy recipes together with guidance from experienced cooks.

The delicious meal was enjoyed and appreciated by all, and there’s already plenty of enthusiasm for the next session. So start thinking about your favourite dishes that you’d love to learn, teach or simply savour when our community kitchen events begin!

A huge thank you to everyone for your enthusiasm, ideas and teamwork today. Together we’re building healthier habits, stronger friendships and a wonderful sense of community. 🙏💚

🏅 It’s the final day of The Sikh Games! 🏅

There’s still plenty to enjoy today, with lots of sport, activities and entertainment for all ages. It’s been fantastic to see so many regions and communities represented of all ages and backgrounds, all coming together through sport, friendship and Sikh values. 💙

Hopefully this inspires even more people from Suss*x to get involved next year. It would be amazing to see a bigger Suss*x team showcasing the fantastic sporting talent we have across our community. If anyone interested in becoming Suss*x Sikh Games representative, please get in touch.

Who knows… maybe more of us will be representing Suss*x next year! 🏃‍♂️🤼🏓⛳🎾⚽🏏🏉

Come along if you can and enjoy the final day! 🙌
