Gladrags is a unique resource bringing the magic of costume to community/youth groups, schools & colleges, charities & not-for-profits, amateur & fringe arts. The charity is founded on the re-use and recycling of clothing and textiles: we are passionate about the sustainable impact of sharing community resources. We run a responsible rehoming scheme of costumes and fabrics, and share our sewing and craft skills within our community.

"Today we took a trip to the fabulous in Brighton to collect some Victorian outfits ready for Victorians Day on Littlehampton High Street tomorrow! Come and visit the Museum stall for dressing up, town trails, Mrs Beeton recipe cards and some wonderful archive photos of the town.
This FREE event runs from 11-3, Wednesday 5th August."

Their generous donations means even more sparkly, characterful pieces joining our community costume collection, including a whole new box of Ice‑Dancer outfits ready to twirl their way into future performances. 💃⛸✨

Donations like these help us keep costumes in circulation, spark creativity, and make dressing‑up accessible for everyone.

We vaule our partnerships with local businesses, so a huge thanks to local production company, E3 Events for supporting Gladrags’ mission to share, reuse and celebrate the joy of costume.

✨ End‑of‑Term Magic at Brackenbury! ✨

We’re absolutely delighted to share these wonderful photos of a Year 6 student from Brackenbury School, pre her stage performance as Mary Poppins in their end‑of‑term production. 🎭💫

We also loved hearing this heartfelt feedback from Mr Bayley, from another local school, West Park CE Primary School:

“Just so appreciative that Gladrags really helps lift our Year 6 stage production to a new level; the children love putting on their costumes, and they really go for it, believing more in themselves as that character – wonderful! Thanks so much!”

​Wow, time flies, how quickly this next one has come around! Gladrags’ Rehome it! scheme is back at Big Yellow Self Storage. We are offering surplus fabric, pre-loved costumes, props, and haberdashery absolutely FREE to community groups, arts organisations, and education institutions.
