🎶 SING FOR BETTER HEALTH

Experience the joy and health benefits of singing via Zoom from the comfort of your own home with Udita Everett.

Sing for Better Health combines simple breathing, voice and posture exercises with singing together much-loved songs from the yesteryears.

No singing ability needed; we won’t hear you during songs! It’s fun and easy.

Event details:
Every Saturday via Zoom
12:30 to 13:30

Open to Brighton and Hove residents with a BN postcode.

To book, email [email protected] or call 01273 712 175.

Southdown offer free walk-in welcome sessions, offering a simple and welcoming way to take the first step towards mental health and wellbeing support.

You don’t need an appointment, a referral, or to know exactly what kind of support you need. Just come along and have a conversation with one of their team.

It’s an open, friendly and non-judgemental space, where you can talk about what’s going on for you at your own pace.

They’ll listen, help you explore the support that might be right for you and talk through possible next steps. There’s no pressure and no expectation to have the right words.

The next walk-in welcome session in Hove is:
St Richard’s Church Community Centre
Thursday 20 August, 4pm–7pm
Sessions run fortnightly.

The UOK Wellbeing Service offers free mental health and wellbeing support for adults aged 18+ across Brighton & Hove and East Sussex.

Find out more at uok.org.uk or contact us on 0808 196 1768 or [email protected]

This month at Art for Relaxation, we had a theme of water Lillies and used acrylic paints.

A few participants plan to finish their artwork at home, so we gave out paint to encourage some Art for Relaxation outside of the classes!

FEEDBACK FRIDAY 📢

For June's Third Friday, we got the chance to make zines with the brilliant team at Aghh Zine, exploring how taking part in Hera’s activities supports our health and wellbeing.

We used collage, drawing, and storytelling to create our own zine with magazines and scrap materials.

Third Friday activities are FREE, and open to residents with a BN postcode. To enquire about booking a space, email: [email protected] or call 01273 712 175.
