Many people across the UK are Diabetic or Pre-Diabetic. According to Diabetes UK there is still a lot of stigma and misconceptions around the condition. A lack of public knowledge about Diabetes makes it harder for people who are diagnosed to navigate being diabetic.

Diabetes UK have developed a helpful online resource that provides tailored, interactive tools to help self-manage Diabetes. It can also connect you to further support and services. If this would be useful for you, why not check it out? It’s free!

Drop-in on Monday 15 June and have a chat with us and other disabled people about how accessible the beach and seafront are for you. We’ll be asking if you get down the beach as often as you’d like to and what prevents you from going. We’ll also discuss what could make the accessibility better.

Fully accessible venue in Kemptown, Brighton.

This we are feeling extra grateful for our incredible volunteer team, who keep our projects and services running. Here is Julie and Zsussanah, who work on our reception desk each week. They provide excellent service to our clients and are always friendly and approachable. Without our volunteers we wouldn’t be able to provide essential services, advice and support to disabled people in our community.

To all our volunteers, THANK YOU!
