Zsuzsanna comes into Reception every week with enthusiasm and laughter. She brightens up our office and has got to know everyone in the building. We really value her hard work and commitment and have loved watching her grow in her role.

Here is what Zsuzsanna had to say:

“Possability People has a good reputation and strong social values. I am very proud of my reception team. We are a strong front-desk team that keeps the area neat and organised, stays calm under pressure, and welcomes everyone warmly and kindly.
As a foreigner, volunteering gives me the opportunity to practise and improve my English-speaking skills while also gaining valuable experience in customer service.
In my free time, I enjoy travelling, reading, and catching up with friends.”

We know that if you haven’t used a mobility scooter before, or haven’t in a while, it may be a little daunting. Our ShopMobility team are here to run through how everything works and answer any questions. Our base at Churchill Square has plenty of room to try things out, and we even have some cones if you want to practice going around them!

Our main office is located in the Churchill Square car park, with accessible car parking spaces right outside, so it’s very easy. For more information visit: www.possabilitypeople.org.uk/shopmobility

Our Advice Centre is an essential service for local disabled people and those with long-term health conditions. Our skilled team helps people understand their rights, secure the benefits they’re entitled to, and navigate complicated forms and appeals processes. On Wednesday 9 September our team of walkers will walk 10K along Brighton seafront. Please consider sponsoring them today.

IT'S TODAY! Our GIG meeting is focused on exploring what it is like to live with a condition or impairment that isn’t necessarily always visible to others. We would like to hear about your experiences and are also excited to welcome Ruth Rabet, a co-creator of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Scheme.

Ruth will tell us more about the scheme and, most importantly, hear directly from you. If you already wear a Sunflower lanyard, we'd love to hear how it's been for you.

Our GIG meetings are a relaxed, social space that run as informal drop-in sessions. You can join us for the whole meeting or just pop in for a while.

- Monday 17 August, 1.30 to 3.30pm
- Montague House, Montague Place, Brighton, BN2 1JE (wheelchair accessible venue)

Got something to say but can’t make the meeting? Email us at: [email protected]
