The Sanitation Project ✨
So, after many years of discussions, plans, funding rejections and a looong etcetera, we have finally completed the works of the toilet block at Vallalar Nursery and Primary School, in the village of Kanjanur, South India.
Having toilets is much more than just a logical necessity. Having decent sanitation facilities at schools helps reduce diseases, improves hygiene and increases the sense of safety for all the girls and boys. Not only that, developing good hygiene habits impacts enormously on communities as it has a knock-on effect on the households where these students live.
Now our super dedicated teachers are helping children understand why these habits are important. And they are doing so in the most imaginative ways! Tune in for updates on the progress of our Sanitation Project. One more school to go! 🏫
