Here we have info from a national charity who support families who are struggling in fuel poverty and can offer a range of support to individuals from general energy advice, issuing emergency fuel vouchers, funding for small measure items (such as electric blankets) and much more.

Wrapping up 2023

It has been a year of adaptation for Chomp, having to go with the flow.
We would like to say a huge huge thank you to everyone who supports us....volunteers, fundraisers, charities, businesses, the communities we operate within and the wider community of One Church Brighton. We love doing what we do, getting to provide a welcome space for families across the city, planning how we can make it fun and nourishing. Hopefully this can continue well into the future but for now, we send you all much love and gratitude from the little Chomp Team X

And then there was day 3. We fed 75 people, had visitors from HAF and Brighton and Hove Food Partnership, were helped by AMAZING volunteers, entertained with Exploring Senses and Gladrags Community Costume Resource Charity and again made sure that our families went home with food and present hampers. It was crazy fun and we are very glad that you all came and joined us in the madness.

Day 2 of Chomp Christmas celebrations and oh my goodness what a day this was!
1. We arrived in Whitehawk ready to set up and couldn't get into the church.
2. In the pouring rain, with volunteers arriving, we decide to move locations
3. All hands on deck to move EVERYTHING across town!
4. Christmas dinner to be cooked and half way through the gas hob stops working. New system installed, phew.
5. Dinner's out late and when we get to pudding, there's a serious lack of spoons.
6. We make a bake gingerbread.
7. We dress up, bring sparkle and joy thanks to Community Costume Resource Charity
8. We give out food and present hampers to our families.
9. Thank you to our Whitehawk families for being absolute troopers, being patient and helping.
10. Wait for it....
