Memories of Refugee Week.

It’s a warm early July evening. One of the many things Brighton does well is sunsets, especially along the seafront. A promenade and cycle path runs east to west along along the city seafront. Grassy lawns and parks, interspaced with cafe’s, beech huts and spots to hang out. I’m out on a bike ride, from the Marina, up to Shoreham docks and back....

Reflections on Carnival Against Fascism

Carnival Against Fascism was a collective response to a far right threat to our city. In March 2026, multiple far right groups announced their intention to march through Brighton on June 13th. I used to work with this guy. He's gone full far right anti Muslim racist tommy robinson supporter. He's sharing video's promoting the far right 'great replacement' conspiracy, talking about Europe being 'taken over'. I've blocked him. He lives in Crawley. If your work involves him in anyway, you'll get no support from Best Foot Music.
