💭Dream Lab is bringing three experimental music projects to Brighton for short performances and audience feedback sessions on Sunday 4 October.
> Sackbut Soliloquy with Stéphanie Dyer, musician transforms the sound of a single sackbut into a rich, multi-voiced sonic world
> Baroque But Not is a collab between Vache Baroque and Contemporary Vocal Sünds which blurs the boundaries between concert, theatre and live art
> A Magic Lantern Christmas Show pairs cellist Carina Drury - cello with Irish harpist Tara Viscardi - Harpist combining shadow puppets with early Irish carols.

Huge congratulations to BREMF Emerging Artists alumni The Lyons Mouth who stormed (roared?) to success in yesterday's York International Young Artists Competition at National Centre for Early Music, taking home both the main prize and the friends prize! Fantastic performances from all the ensembles taking part.

Introducing our 2026-27 BREMF Emerging Artists! We're really excited to be working with ensembles Bruegel Consort, Les Acolytes, Themelion, Thow Cornwall Duo and singers Ruby Skilbeck & Emma Warner sopranos, Laura Toomey alto & Hugo Williamson tenor.

All of the Emerging Artists will be appearing at the festival over the weekend of 9/10 October - the solo singers as part of The Fairy Queen with the London Handel Players and the ensembles as part of our annual Emerging Artists Showcase.

Outside the festival we'll also be working with these talented young artists in coaching and mentoring sessions right up to March 2027.

Graduating this summer and interested in working in arts administration? We're looking for Festival Trainees to join us for the 2026 Festival. It's a voluntary placement, but we'll provide travel expenses and a meal allowance, and the work is evenings/weekends so you can combine it with full or part time employment. Interested?
