Because lots of people are asking how they can help us cover the massive increase in our rent for the Free Shop…
(It’s gone up 76% in 18 months 😳😳😳)

Here are our bank details for BACS donations:
•Lloyds Business (community) Account
•Freegle Brighton
•Sort Code 30-65-21
•Account number 39259468

Or you can scan the QR code to financially support the FREEGLE FREE SHOP.

Thanks for all the kind comments and suitable outrage here and in the shop, we’re doing our best to find fresh ways to generate more money to cover the ever increasing overheads.

And to avoid any cynicism all the ‘staff’ at the Free Shop are UNPAID they all volunteer their time and energy for free and have done since 2021.

All money donations help us to pay the rent (now over £1,000 every month!), electricity, insurance and volunteer’s bus fares.

THANK YOU x 💚

If you are enjoying the autumnal weather and having a declutter before battening the hatches down...remember to pass on your unwanted bits and bobs so someone else can make use of it all!

There's already enough stuff for all of us - we just need to get things to the right place!
Use our app to do that >> https://www.ilovefreegle.org/mobile
Freegle connects you with tens of thousands of local people who are on the look out for stuff to reuse and will come and collect the things you want shot of.

And conversely, if you are watching your pennies (aren't we all!) then Freegle is a great way to find useful stuff you need but for FREE. You will be pleasantly surprised at all the amazing stuff you can get; everything from DIY materials to baby equipment, furniture, food, kitchen equipment and more...as long as it's legal it can be freegled!

01/10/2026

Our fabulous FREE SHOP will be open today & Friday & Saturday 10am to 4pm.

Drop off unwanted things - no tedious Charity shop restrictions!

If it’s legal and can be carried by 1 person we will accept it.

🛑 Drugs (medications)
🛑 Guns (weapons)
🛑 Animals (anything breathing)
🛑 Furniture (it’s too big for our small shop)
✅ Everything else is OK

Everything donated will be checked, sorted and then given away.

If you’re in need of something specific, just let our volunteers know and they’ll try to source it for you.

If you can’t get here please use our website/app to share from home 👉🏼 https://www.ilovefreegle.org/explore/BrightonFreegle
