Tweack We are a Westdene based group that brings our community together to protect our green spaces and help

" T W E A C K " is an acronym derived from " The Withdean Eldred Avenue Copse Keepers" which described the group set up and run by Martin and Lily Wlson some 25 tears ago. They were instrumental in stopping building along the railway and in the establishment of Withdean Local Nature Reserve. Our remit is now general conservation in Westdene but the name retained.

Today we planted an orchard! 🌳🍎

Copse Hill/Highbank Community Orchard, a mix of apple and plum trees, a welcome addition to the Wilder Verge Project already at the site.

Thank you to Brighton Permaculture Trust for overseeing the planting and the previous Green Councillors ( Jamie Lloyd and Steve Davis) for securing the funds during the last administration in order for TWEACK to undertake this project.

Great to have such a big turn out - well done everybody! 💚
