accessible family therapy and ecotherapy for children and families, couples for a range of emotional and mental health concerns as well as relationships difficulties.

This was the last EcoSystemic walk of this wonderful project commissioned by DRI called Walking roots to explore the beautiful landscapes of the High Weald and connect with nature and others in a meaningful way

Thanks to all the wonderful women who have attended and Anna who coordinated this project with amazing organisational skills and leadership, enthusiasm and grace

Thanks also to my wonderful colleague and friend Shaila for planning together, sharing the leading of the walks and for our lovely chats in between

Let’s hope we can continue this collaboration and provide therapeutic support via nature and community building

It was a very nurturing experiential day for us all fully immersed in nature, learning to slow down and trust the healing power of nature
appreciating the magic when we are open to the unexpected,
Feeling connected with our deepest and wildest ecological self and others being held by Mother Earth’s embrace to teach, to inspire and to sustain our personal and professional lives

It was great to run the day with
I so value her skills and expertise in creating a safe learning space her nature-based work and her openness in working alongside each other

We would like to continue to offer therapists and trainees an opportunity to learn by doing, to deepen our relationship with nature as the main tool to work therapeutically outdoors to create a safe context for taking risks and learn from each other

Thanks to all who attended with such openness for learning, honesty and courage to be themselves, generosity and grace in sharing with each other.

Thank you Rachel petalproject for hosting us in your beautiful plot at Stanmer Park and your support and understanding.
We would love to come back in Spring for our next training day!!!

Interested in a highly experiential training day for therapists to learn about working therapeutically outdoors?

Last call to join one of the seasonal training days in Stanmer Park, Brighton jointly run with experienced gestalt nature-allied therapist Suzanne Worrica.

This is our second seasonal training day celebrating Autumn

🍂 on Friday 9/10/26 from 10 to 4.30pm

We will share some key ideas from our two complementary modalities ie Ecosystemic and Gestalt and a safe and supportive environment to practice with each other and learn by doing to develop self-confidence.

It’s about connecting with the power of fire as ancient medicine for holding a sacred space, building community, strengthening our sense of belonging to mother Earth and each other across the seasons
These evening events around the Fire 🔥 are held at Racehill community orchard in Whitehawk near Woodingdean BN2 5QB

The beautiful site in east Brighton has so lovely views of the sea and many fruit trees well looked after by volunteers and

Immersed into the woods for 3 days for the ecosystemic intensive training with 6 amazing women was certainly a magical experience

exploring our ecological self and the depth of our belonging to mother earth
sharing and connecting with nature and each other
practicing ecotherapy in a safe environment
feeling enriched by each others’ gifts and wildest dreams

We can’t change the world but we can go on with feminine strength power and determination to live and to love to embrace our true nature of biological and ecological beings nurturing new seeds caring and protecting nature and all life

Today lovely Ecosystemic walk in Hadlow Down in the heart of Sussex countryside commissioned by
Lovely and diverse group of women keen to explore to explore the High Weald landscapes and enjoy friendships

We practiced mindfulness in different ways
One of the women who is a yoga teacher taught us how to connect with our breathing and in so doing realise the power of connecting to the body and slowing down

Then we had a mindful walk connecting to nature through the senses sight seeing and noticing signs of the extreme heat with many leaves on the ground as if it was autumn hearing the silence of being completely immersed in nature as well as planes in the sky
tasting blackberries as if we were eating them for the first time
Touching dry moss, trees cold and warm depending on the sun or shade

We then reached a spot where we could lay down on the grass feel the body being held in Mother Earth embrace and being guided to engage in deep relaxation through a mediation and visualisation

Everybody was able to experience the power of being in nature and give ourselves permission just to be in the present moment

A glorious day and evening, a heart warming gathering around the fire to celebrate the summer solstice in community and gratitude 🙏

Thanks for those who came and made this gathering so special under the moon gaze in a very peaceful and lush green space
