Proud to share Hope not Hate’s campaign….

“Last year, in the aftermath of racist riots, we saw the best of Britain’s community spirit. Hours after bricks were thrown, locals rallied round with brushes and buckets. Neighbours came together to clean the streets, and people chose solidarity over fear.

We need that same spirit again.

To show that the real Britain is one where families and neighbours look out for each other. It’s nurses, farmers, teachers, and bin workers. It’s kindness, fairness, and community. And that’s worth defending”.

Please join us and display a ‘Hold on to HOPE’ poster in your window.

Together we can show that HOPE will always eclipse hate.

Celebrating the end of our Work Ready English course!

It’s genuinely moving each time these comments are shared throughout TLC. We love hearing and sharing our clients’ feedback - it’s wonderful to see how impactful our Work Ready programme has been.

And importantly it’s not just about the English - we see improvements in confidence, increased knowledge around working in the UK, clients feeling motivated and supported on their journeys to employment. And our team do an incredible job of supporting all of our clients from start to finish - with kindness and care throughout.

We now have 40 recorded talks in our online YouTube library! 🎖️

This feels like a huge milestone worth celebrating. 👏

This all began in October 2021 with a powerful talk on building confidence, by a Life Coach - since then, the journey has been extraordinary.

We’ve welcomed dentists, drivers, psychologists, teachers, entrepreneurs, and job seekers with refugee backgrounds all sharing their expertise.

From practical sessions on finding a job in the UK and acing interviews, to inspirational stories of rebuilding from scratch, every talk has built confidence, knowledge, and connection.

⭐️ Over 1,506 people have joined our live talks
⭐️2,830+ more have watched the recorded talks in our YouTube library

If you haven’t seen our library - do check it out - it’s an incredible free source of employment expertise. 👍
(See link in bio)

These talks are consistently excellently rated and we are so grateful to the brilliant people who’ve shared their time and wisdom.💯

Do you have a story or experience to share with others navigating work and new beginnings?
We’d love to hear from you because someone out there might need exactly what you have to offer.

Let’s keep talking, learning, and building futures together.🤲

Our friend Marcus Atkinson is about to embark on an extraordinary test of endurance - cycling 1,500 km from London to Edinburgh and back in just five days — to support refugees rebuilding their lives in the UK.

Setting off on 3 August, the ride forms part of the epic London–Edinburgh–London route, one of the toughest endurance cycling events in the country.

Funds from the ride will support our core services - like English-language coaching, CV support, and mentorship and a new skills training project in collaboration with the University of Sussex Business School.

“It’s not just about completing the distance,” says Marcus. “It’s about using every kilometre to support people who’ve already travelled unimaginable journeys of their own and now want to contribute to our community.”

So far, the ride has raised £470, with your help we can help him reach his target of £1500 - see link in bio for his fundraising link.

THANK YOU ❤️
