"I can't do the 12 Steps. I'm not religious."

Many of us said exactly the same thing.

What we discovered was that C.A. doesn't ask us to believe in anyone else's God. It asks us to find a Higher Power of our own understanding.

For some, that's God.
For others, it's nature.
For others, it's the group itself.

All that is required is a willingness to believe that help might exist beyond our own thinking.

You don't need faith to begin. You just need an open mind.

There was a time when we genuinely believed the lies.

"I'll stop tomorrow."
"I've got this under control."
"One more won't hurt."

We broke promises to our families. We broke promises to our friends. Most painfully, we broke promises to ourselves.

Many of us woke up every morning determined that today would be different, only to find ourselves trapped in the same cycle.

If you're exhausted, ashamed, or feeling hopeless, you're not alone.

We used to feel exactly the same way.

Co***ne Anonymous offered us a solution. Today, many of us are living lives we never thought possible - free from active addiction, connected to others, and at peace with ourselves.

This time really can be different.
