Last Friday, our team headed to the Click Jobs Fair in Alton, supported by East Hampshire District Council.

The event brought together employers, training providers and local organisations, with a strong focus on technical roles and routes into employment.

Our Apex Training - The Verdancy Group stand saw a fantastic level of engagement, with lots of people stopping by to find out more about the Restart Scheme, training and pathways into solar and clean energy careers.

It was great to speak with so many local people and organisations, while making some positive new connections and exploring opportunities to work together in the future.

What if school was built around how each student learns?

In this short snippet, Victoria Aarons chats with the Big Picture Learning Doncaster team to unpack its “one student at a time” approach and how personalised education can help prevent disengagement before it starts.

Keep your eyes peeled for the full episode - launching tomorrow.

Celebrating another fantastic International Community Day! 💙

Giving back starts with supporting the local communities around us. This year, 520 Fedcap colleagues across four countries and three continents came together to do just that. From supporting people experiencing homelessness, building homes, supporting veterans and caring for community gardens, our people gave their time to support local organisations.

Across the UK, Canada, the US and for the first time Australia, our teams gave around 2,700 hours of their time across 52 organisations, making this our biggest and most global Community Day yet.

A huge thank you to everyone who gave their time and helped make the day such a success!

This week, we're highlighting our Brighton office 💙

Take a look at the team as they share some of the work they’ve been doing to support local people on their journey towards employment.

Today, from Brighton to Preston and everywhere in between, around 300 members of our team volunteered with 27 charities.

Our people supported a wide range of causes, from food distribution and housing support to park clean-ups and mentoring, strengthening long-standing relationships with local partners.

Giving back isn’t limited to one day. It’s part of how we work and who we work for. This meaningful contribution builds on a long-standing tradition of service across Fedcap UK.

Our High Wycombe team tried something a little different today!

Instead of a traditional jobs fair, the team hosted a morning focused on work experience and apprenticeships, bringing together local employers and over 90 customers from Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)'s Restart Scheme.

The team had a brilliant morning of conversations, introductions and new ideas for what could come next. It was great to see customers building confidence, speaking to employers and finding out more about the routes into work available to them.

Representatives from the local JobCentre also joined the team, getting involved and seeing first-hand the great engagement from customers and employers.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success! It's all about finding innovative ways to engage customers and bring employers and local people together. 💙

From the Welsh Valleys to the catwalk. ✨

Proud to see ELITE Clothing Solutions take its manufacturing expertise from the Welsh Valleys to the London catwalk for Africa Fashion Week. Working with Cardiff-based designer Adeola of Add an Apron, the team created bespoke trousers to complement her hand-painted, Africa-inspired designs.

Adeola said: “While there are a lot of manufacturers in England, I wanted my creations to be as local as possible. With ELITE there was an added bonus of it being a social enterprise which aligned with my ethos."
This collaboration is a fantastic example of how local partnerships and social enterprise can come together to create opportunities for and showcase the talent and craftsmanship of the ELITE team.

We’re proud to announce the launch of Spotlight – a new multimedia research initiative from the Community Impact Policy Institute, designed to showcase the fieldwork in our local communities and providing insight into the challenges they face. We’ll publish the findings as they emerge.

Our first Spotlight, Breaking Britain’s Barriers, looks at some of the most pressing challenges keeping people out of work, from long-term sickness to the barriers facing approximately 1 million young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET).

Over the next couple of months, the research will follow pathways across our local communities to better understand the barriers keeping people from opportunity, how disengagement takes shape over time and what can help people reconnect.

Because understanding unemployment isn’t just about statistics. It’s about understanding people, their stories and the barriers they face – and finding out what can make a real difference to bring lessons from the field research directly into the policy conversation.

We’re looking forward to sharing what we learn.
