How do you turn 36 Scouts or Explorers and 4 volunteers into one balanced Unit?

Unit 67 met for the first time last weekend, getting to know each other and starting to build their Unit identity. The beginning of an exciting adventure!

Starting with icebreaker & speed meeting, we carried on with team games, small games, wrote our Unit Charter and voted for our Unit Name! So much done in one afternoon!

We are all looking forward to meeting again at our First Camp 27th February - 1st of March 2026.

In less than 600 days Unit 67 will be standing together with other thousands of Scouts at the 26th World Scout Jamboree Opening Ceremony in Poland

🚨🌍 Youth applications are now open for the 26th World Scout Jamboree! 🌍🚨

West Yorkshire Scouts are incredibly excited to announce that applications are now open for young people to be part of our Unit for the 26th World Scout Jamboree, taking place from 30th July – 8th August 2027 in Gdańsk, Poland! 🇵🇱⛺️

The Jamboree is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Scouts aged 14–17 (born between 30 July 2009 and 30 July 2013) to join thousands of others from around the world for 10 days of global friendship, adventure, cultural exchange, and unforgettable memories — all on the beautiful Baltic coast! 🌊🌲🌏

📅 Applications close: 21st September 2025

📍 Selection events will take place in September/October 2025

💷 A £500 deposit will be required for successful applicants in late October 2025
