Tappy Twins

Tappy Twins Supporting Young People using a unique combination of counselling, mentoring, therapies, coaching in group work and 1-2-1 sessions.

Tappy Twins is a CIC (Community Interest Company with charitable status) which was developed to support our young people, when they need it most. We work with young people and their families, to learn how to take control of their experiences and emotions. We provide them with valuable tools for life; to help them overcome their fears, traumas and everyday worries. All of our professionals use a un

ique combination of counselling, mentoring, therapies, coaching and strategies in our group work and 1-2-1 sessions. The majority of these therapies are energy based to help maximise on the results we achieve. Some of these include traditional EFT, Mindfulness, NLP, Picture Tapping and Matrix Reimprinting. We work as part of a team with families, privately or within schools, councils and all agencies to identify and provide long lasting results and support for those young people and families that are facing issues or difficulties. Much of our work comes from referrals from Schools, Social Services, Family Support, Barnados and Forward Thinking Birmingham (CHAMS). Within schools, we offer a bespoke range of services including 1-2-1 sessions, parenting classes, teacher training and group workshops for young people and staff. We also work with larger projects, for example that are government or social investor funded. Our Mission
Our Ethos is that every child deserves to be safe, happy and loved. What we believe in, is the ability of every single family that we work will move forward and overcome any obstacles they face; in order to create the lives for the children and the family that they deserve. We will ensure that every child is listened to and heard. Whilst discussing, exploring, developing and using coping mechanisms to empower them to deal with their complex emotions. All of this will be achieved with complete transparency, professionalism and ensure that the results are measurable.

There isn't a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to emotional wellbeing!๐Ÿงก

What helps one person may not work for another, and that's okay.

Over the years, we've come to appreciate the importance of having different ways to support people, especially when someone feels stuck, overwhelmed or finds it difficult to put their emotions into words!๐Ÿง

Approaches like Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) aren't about replacing everything else.

They're about recognising that everyone processes experiences differently, and sometimes, having another option can make all the difference!๐ŸŒฑ

Because supporting people isn't about having a magic answer.

It's about meeting them where they are, with compassion, understanding and the right tools to help them move forward.

Weโ€™re seeing more and more therapists exploring approaches that go beyond traditional talking methods.

Not because what theyโ€™re doing isnโ€™t working, but because different clients need different ways of being supported.

Techniques like EFT are often introduced when...
โ€ข emotions feel difficult to access
โ€ข clients feel stuck
โ€ข or progress has slowed

Itโ€™s about expanding how we support people, not changing everything we already do!

Sometimes, it's not that someone doesn't want to move forwardโ€ฆ It's that they don't yet have the tools to understand or process what they're feeling. ๐Ÿค

We often see moments where words alone don't quite reach what's going on underneath. Where someone knows they're anxious, overwhelmed or stuckโ€ฆ but struggles to explain why.

That's why we're so passionate about approaches like Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).

Not because they're a magic fix, but because they offer another way to help people connect with their emotions, regulate their nervous system and begin to process experiences in a safe and gentle way!๐ŸŒฑ

Because supporting people isn't about forcing progress.
Sometimes, it's simply about finding a different path forward!๐Ÿงก

Sometimes, itโ€™s not that a client doesnโ€™t want to move forwardโ€ฆ
Itโ€™s that they donโ€™t yet have the tools to process what theyโ€™re feeling.

As therapists, we often come across moments where talking alone doesnโ€™t quite reach whatโ€™s underneath.

This is where approaches like ๐—˜๐—บ๐—ผ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—™๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐—ผ๐—บ ๐—ง๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ป๐—ถ๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ฒ (๐—˜๐—™๐—ง) can offer something different - helping clients connect with and process emotions in a more embodied way. ๐Ÿง

Itโ€™s not about replacing what you already doโ€ฆ But about having another way to support someone when they feel stuck!๐ŸŒฑ

Supporting others isn't about having all the answers.

Sometimes, it's about being open to different ways of understanding emotions and helping people feel safe enough to process what they're experiencing.

Over the years, we've seen how approaches like ๐—˜๐—บ๐—ผ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—™๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐—ผ๐—บ ๐—ง๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ป๐—ถ๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ฒ (๐—˜๐—™๐—ง) can help people navigate anxiety, stress and emotional overwhelm in a gentle and empowering way!๐Ÿง

Because every person is different, and what works for one person may not work for another.

That's why we're so passionate about continuing to learn, grow and explore new ways of supporting young people, families and individuals!๐ŸŒฑ

After all, helping people isn't about doing more.

It's about finding what works best for the person in front of you! โœจ

Learning a new approach isnโ€™t just about adding another technique - ๐—ถ๐˜โ€™๐˜€ ๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜ ๐—ฏ๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜„ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐˜€๐˜‚๐—ฝ๐—ฝ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ ๐—ฐ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐˜€.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is becoming an increasingly valuable tool for therapists working with anxiety, stress and emotional blocks! ๐Ÿง

For many practitioners, it offers a different way of working - one that helps clients regulate emotions and process experiences more effectively.

Sometimes, support comes in when things already feel really hard.

When someone is overwhelmed. Burnt out. Struggling!๐Ÿค

But what if we focused a little more on support before things reached that point?

What if we got better at noticing the early signs
The withdrawal.
The overwhelm.
The 'Iโ€™m fine' when someone clearly isnโ€™t!๐Ÿง

Looking after mental wellbeing isnโ€™t just about stepping in when things go wrong. Itโ€™s about creating the right support, conversations and coping tools before things feel too big to manage!๐ŸŒฑ

Because sometimes, the biggest difference comes from helping someone feel seen before they reach breaking point.

Mental health support is often approached reactively - stepping in when someone is already struggling.

But what if we shifted the focus to prevention instead?๐Ÿค”

A proactive approach to mental health is about recognising early signs, building resilience, and creating the right support structures before challenges escalate.

Research continues to show that identifying stressors early and encouraging open conversations can reduce the risk of burnout and improve overall wellbeing.

For professionals and organisations alike, this raises an important point

Burnout isnโ€™t just something we see in the workplace anymoreโ€ฆ
Itโ€™s showing up everywhere. ๐Ÿค

In young people, in families, in adults trying to juggle everything - that feeling of being overwhelmed, drained or 'just done' is becoming more common than weโ€™d like to admit.

And it raises an important question

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ Are we really giving people the tools they need to cope with the world theyโ€™re living in today?

Because itโ€™s not just about managing stress in the moment.
Itโ€™s about helping people understand their emotions, feel safe, and learn how to process whatโ€™s going on underneath!๐Ÿง

The more we recognise this, the more we can start to support people in ways that actually make a lasting difference!๐ŸŒฑ

Burnout is no longer just an individual issue...

Across the UK, mental health is now one of the leading causes of long-term absence, with millions of working days lost each year due to stress, anxiety and burnout.

For therapists and organisations alike, this raises an important question:

When everything feels a bit too much, sometimes the most helpful thing we can do is gently bring ourselves back to the present moment!๐Ÿค

One simple way to do this is the 5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise.
It works by using your senses to reconnect with whatโ€™s around you - what you can see, hear, feelโ€ฆ helping your mind slow down when thoughts feel busy or overwhelming!๐Ÿง

Itโ€™s something we often use in moments of anxiety or emotional overwhelm, especially when itโ€™s hard to 'think your way out' of how youโ€™re feeling.

Simple, gentle tools like this can make a real difference - not by fixing everything, but by helping you feel a little steadier in the moment!๐ŸŒฑ

When things feel overwhelming, grounding techniques can be a simple but powerful way to bring focus back to the present moment!

๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ฒ is often used to help manage anxiety, reduce stress, and support emotional regulation by gently reconnecting with your surroundings.

By engaging your senses, it can help shift attention away from racing thoughts and back into the here and now!๐Ÿง

This is a technique many professionals use both personally and within their work to support others during moments of overwhelm.

Sometimes, itโ€™s not about what to sayโ€ฆ
itโ€™s about how to help when someone feels stuck. ๐Ÿค

We often see moments where emotions feel hard to reach, or where things just donโ€™t seem to move forward in the way someone might hope.

That doesnโ€™t mean nothing is working - it can simply be a sign that a different approach is needed!๐Ÿง

Supporting others isnโ€™t about having all the answersโ€ฆ
Itโ€™s about being open, adaptable, and willing to try new ways of helping someone feel safe enough to process whatโ€™s really going on. ๐ŸŒฑ

Because sometimes, itโ€™s not about doing more.
Itโ€™s about doing things differently.

One of the biggest challenges therapists face isnโ€™t always what to say - itโ€™s how to help when a client feels stuck.

When progress slows or emotions feel difficult to access, it can be a sign that a different approach is needed.

This is why continuing professional development is so important.

Exploring new techniques and approaches allows therapists to adapt, evolve and better support the people they work with!๐ŸŒฑ

Because sometimes, itโ€™s not about doing more - itโ€™s about doing something differently.

Everyone who supports others develops their own way of doing things over time!๐Ÿงก

Sometimes itโ€™s something youโ€™ve learned along the wayโ€ฆ Sometimes itโ€™s a moment, a conversation, or a new approach that completely shifts how you see things.

We often see how small changes in understanding can make a big difference - especially when it comes to supporting young people and helping them feel safe, heard and understood!๐Ÿง

Learning doesnโ€™t always have to be formalโ€ฆ But staying open, curious and willing to grow is what allows us to support others in the best way we can!๐ŸŒฑ

Out of curiosityโ€ฆ Whatโ€™s something thatโ€™s changed the way you support others? ๐Ÿ’ญ

Sometimes, supporting mental wellbeing starts with something really simpleโ€ฆ Creating the right space to talk!๐Ÿค

We often see how much of a difference it makes when people feel safe enough to open up - whether thatโ€™s a child, a young person, or an adult trying to make sense of how theyโ€™re feeling.

Having the right prompts, tools, or gentle starting points can really help those conversations flow in a natural way!๐Ÿง

Our wellbeing resources have been created to support those moments - whether thatโ€™s in schools, at home, or in everyday life.

Because sometimes, itโ€™s not about having all the answersโ€ฆ Itโ€™s about creating the space where someone feels able to share!๐ŸŒฑ

Supporting mental wellbeing often starts with creating the right space for conversation!๐Ÿค

Thatโ€™s why weโ€™ve developed a range of wellbeing toolkits and resources designed to support meaningful discussions around mental health.
