If you'd like to join us, send us a message or email, or go to https://www.sea-cadets.org/apply Bridport Sea Cadets, TS Keppel, is one of nearly 400 Sea Cadet Units affiliated to the Marine Society & Sea Cadets, however we operate at local level and are a registered charity in our own right. We meet at our headquarters next to Plottingham playing fields or at our boating station at West Bay. The U

nit provides young people aged 10-17 with the opportunity to gain skills and nationally recognised qualifications in many areas such as sailing, paddlesports, rowing, sail boarding, power boating, first aid, camping, football and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, to name but a few, while following the traditions of the Royal Navy. Sea Cadets also have the unrivalled opportunity of going to sea in the Corps’ own fleet of offshore vessels. All staff and trustees are volunteers, fully qualified and are DBS checked. Cadet contributions are £10 per month, with discount for siblings. So if you're bored and think you've got nothing to do then bring a mate along and give it a go - you don’t know unless you try...you might actually enjoy yourself!

Our Story

A national youth organisation based locally in Bridport offering guidance, support, training and nationally recognised qualifications to young people. Raising asperations and assisting young adults to responsible adulthood. Bridport Sea Cadets is part of a National Organisation known as The Marine Society and Sea Cadets, however we operate at local level and are a charity within our own right. We meet twice a week at our headquarters next to Plottingham playing fieds and only charge approx £1.00 each time a young person attends. The unit provides young people the opportunity to gain instruction and Nationally recognised qualifications in many areas such as sailing, canoeing, rowing, sail boarding, power boating, band, first aid, camping, football and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme but to name a few. At Bridport we are lucky enough to be able to offer to young people the opportunity to follow the trditions of the Royal Navy. All staff are volunteers, fully qualified and are CRB (Criminal records Bureau) checked. So if your bored and think you've got nothing to do then bring a mate along and give it a go - you don’t know unless you try! You might actually enjoy yourself.
