We have been busy planting herbs and potatoes in our garden. Thank you Groves Nurseries for the herbs you kindly donated. The children have been looking after the plants weeding and watering. They have enjoyed exploring the different scents from the herbs. We look forward to use them in some cooking later on.

The children had a wonderful time helping to put it together, and it has brought so much joy to our outdoor space, giving them a special place to sit, chat, and look after one another. It’s already becoming a favourite spot in the playground.

We’ve been making the most of the lovely weather with lots of fun outdoor learning! ☀️🌿

The children enjoyed obstacle courses, developing their balance, coordination, and turn-taking while learning to safely move around others. In the mud kitchen, they had great fun making potions and “cooking,” building their creativity, communication, and teamwork skills.

At Forest School, the children went bug hunting, observing spiders, ladybirds, woodlice, and centipedes, growing their curiosity about the natural world. They were excited to count 200 worms, using early maths skills! 🐛

They also built dens together, developing problem-solving and cooperation, and used hammers and nails to strengthen hand-eye coordination and learn safe tool use. 🔨

Also some photos from our lovely lantern festival we held a couple of weeks ago. It was a magical evening. :)

We’ve been out in the fresh air hunting for worms, stomping in the mud, and embracing all the messy fun that outdoor learning brings! The children also had the opportunity to use the handsaw, building their confidence, coordination, and independence.

There’s nothing better than learning through nature, fresh air, and a little bit of mud!

In the afternoon
The children had a wonderful time exploring and mixing colours, getting hands-on with lots of sensory fun. There were plenty of messy hands and happy faces as they experimented, discovered new shades, and enjoyed the feeling of paint between their fingers. 😊

Sensory play like this helps develop creativity, fine motor skills, and confidence - all while having lots of fun!

New Internet installed! This will make it a lot easier to post regularly on here.
Lovely dry morning at Forest School today 🌿

Lots of swinging, tree climbing and den building. The children were straight into their play — mixing mud pies, organising a bear hunt through the trees 🐻 and stopping for a well-earned snack together.

Fresh air, muddy hands and big smiles all round. 🌳
