Bridport Cohousing CLT Community-led affordable eco-housing for sale and for rent

A way forward for sustainable living

Community-led affordable eco-housing for sale and for rent, offering a way forward for sustainable living. Hazelmead is a community-led development of 53 affordable eco-homes for local people; of these 13 are offered in shared ownership, and 26 for social rent from our housing association partner. This innovative project will be the largest cohousing neighbourhood in the UK and is demonstrating a

very different solution to the housing problem. Designed to be high quality, energy efficient, climate resilient and nature friendly, the scheme will be managed by the community itself. At the heart of the community will be a common house offering a range of facilities for both cohousing residents and the wider locality. Building is now well underway on our 7 acres of land at the field west of Bridport Community Hospital. The houses are being released by our builder in groups starting in the summer of 2022, and ending in Spring 2023.

You know us as your local independent record shop, but Clocktower Records has always been more than just music. We care for our community, our town, our environment, our coastline and the world beyond our doors.

That's why we want to shout about the film screening and Directors Q&A on Wednesday 3rd June at the Electric Bridport Electric Palace Check the Electric Place website for tickets and time.

Jo in the Water is a powerful documentary about water pollution featuring the brilliant Chris Packham.

Water is everything. It's in the music we love, the landscape we live in, the future. This film asks important questions about who is protecting it and who isn't.

This is exactly the kind of thing, independent businesses like ourselves believe in championing.
