At a recent Health Forum Meeting the organisers kindly allowed Mrs Carol French (Trustee & Treasurer) to read a statement with regard to the decision taken by the committee to wind up the charity.

The formal notice of closure can be read on the homepage of Friend's Website www.friendsbridhosp.org.uk

Carol's full statement will be added to the website shortly, with a further update of the latest donations of equipment at Bridlington Hospital.

It is however, worth celebrating that since the Charity's inception in 1953, the total amount of money raised is guestimated to be well over half a million pounds.

We know for a fact, that since 1989 (as there are full records available - thanks to the records kept by Mrs French) ) £420,000 has been raised and used to buy a remarkable list of equipment for Bridlington Hospital. An impressive record we think you will all agree.
