💛 A LITTLE MESSAGE FROM US — PLEASE READ 💛

You may have noticed that things have been a little quiet around Britannia Road and the surrounding side streets throughout 2026.

But please rest assured… WE HAVE NOT GONE AWAY! 👀💛

Things have been a little difficult behind the scenes.

I’ve personally had some struggles with my mental health, and our coordinator Simon Boulton has ongoing health problems. Because of this, things have had to slow down considerably.

Unfortunately, this has meant that some of the things we had hoped to organise haven’t been possible — partly because of our personal circumstances and partly because we simply haven’t raised enough money yet.

But now… we’re looking ahead! 👀✨

🎄 OUR BIG GOAL — COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS 2027 🎄

We are already starting to make plans for 2027, including smaller events and fundraising activities throughout the year.

Our BIG goal is to bring you:

🎅 The Britannia Road & Side Streets Community Christmas — December 2027! 🎄✨

Our aim is to make it a really special community Christmas, including presents for everyone who lives on our estate.

And here’s the important part…

💰 HOW BIG AND MAGICAL IT WILL BE IS DOWN TO ALL OF US! 💰

The more we can raise throughout 2027, the more we can put back into our community and make the Christmas celebration bigger, better and more magical. ✨

🧊 FUNDRAISING EVENTS ALREADY IN THE PIPELINE

We currently have two ideas planned, with dates still to be confirmed:

🧊 Ice Bucket Challenge

☕ Coffee Morning/Afternoon

For the coffee event, the money raised will be split equally between Macmillan and Neighbourhood Watch. 💚

🎄 CHRISTMAS 2027 🎄

You might be thinking, “We haven’t even had Christmas 2026 yet!” 😂

But we’re already thinking ahead because we want to make Christmas 2027 extra special for Britannia Road and the surrounding side streets. ❤️

To make our plans happen, we need to start fundraising now.

💰 Any money raised between now and the end of November/beginning of December 2027 will go towards our community Christmas.

We have lots of ideas already, including some things shown on the poster, plus ideas such as gifts for children and adults 🎁

There will be more announcements throughout the year, so keep an eye out! 👀

would you be interested in attending a coffee morning/afternoon, any money raised would be split evenly for macmillan and britannia road and side streets Neighbourhood Watch.

If we were to do one if you could comment whether you would come or not, what day of the week you would attend and what time of day would be best to get the best success out of it...

After the poor turn out when we last did the coffee morning we want to get it right, what is going to get you guys to come Bob round for a drink to support your local neighbourhood watch and for macmillan.

Message Caroline Bruce if you know anything or find the bike

Mens bike been taken out of an enclosed back garden on britannia road some point within the last week message Caroline Bruce ( bike same as the one in photo), if you happen to find it or seen anything at all that maybe connected.

Reminder to everyone please be vigilant, always lock your sheds and gates.

Always if you ever notice anything suspicious or doesnt seem right as little as it may seem ring 999 in an emergency or 101 for non emergency.

You may think why bother police won't do owt but they always note things down, sometimes they await to see if there is more reports before they take action as they like to get a pattern. The more evidence the better.

All I ask is report any suspicious behaviour, if you choose not to call you can message on the police online robot wich helps.

Big or small it all helps that little bit of pattern can always make a patten for the police
