⚠️ Safety Notice for All Members ⚠️

As many of you will be spending time along our rivers and waters this season, please be aware that certain plants and vegetation found on riverbanks can pose a risk to health if touched or disturbed.

Some plants can cause severe skin irritation, blistering, and sensitivity to sunlight following contact. We therefore advise all members to take extra care when accessing swims, walking through overgrown areas, and handling vegetation.

✅ Wear appropriate clothing where possible.
✅ Keep children and dogs away from unfamiliar plants.
✅ Wash any affected skin immediately if contact is suspected.
✅ Report any areas of concern to the club.

Please remain vigilant and take care while enjoying your fishing. Your safety is important to us.

🎣 Happy 16th June! 🎣

The river season is now officially open, and we would like to wish all anglers a successful and enjoyable season ahead.

Please remember that all anglers fishing any company-controlled waters must carry a valid Bridgwater Angling Association membership ticket at all times while fishing.

Our bailiffs will be carrying out routine checks throughout the season, so please ensure your ticket is available for inspection.

There is an outside booking on the canal this weekend. Sunday 17th May 2026
This is the final round of the teams of 4 league.
Sections affected will be lower Maunsell and Boat and Anchor through to the wide waters and small basins.
The waters will reopen 16:30

Combwich Spawning Update

The following swims — Bungalow Swims, Su***de Swims, Telegraph and Harbour Swims — will be closed tomorrow due to spawning.

We will be down in the morning to put the signs up. 👍🏻
