The small attractive village of Broomfield lies some 6 miles north of Taunton and approximately the same distance south west of Bridgwater. Situated within an area of outstanding natural beauty, Broomfield is surrounded by diverse native woodland, hedgerows and hillsides covered in arable crops, reflecting its rich farming heritage. Most of the houses in the village, including the hall, are built

of local Merridge stone. The village is centred around the village green, now owned by the National Trust as are some of the buildings in the village. The hall was built in 1854 and was initially the village school and teacher’s house. During the 1950s the building was bought for the village and the school became the village hall as we know it today. The hall is held in trust and run by members of the community for use by local villagers and others who wish to enjoy the tranquillity which the hall enjoys. The hall provides a beautiful venue for wedding receptions and other family celebrations. Fund-raising activities and hiring of the hall brings in much needed funds to keep the hall in good repair.

Our last Pop Up Pub of this year will be held at Broomfield Village Hall on Saturday 20th September with the doors opening at 7pm.

We will have a pizza van in the field with Fiamma wood fired pizza. With Gluten Free options available. We will be open till 10.30pm. We stock as much local drinks as possible, there will be an opportunity to try the new Yule Gin alongside many non alcoholic options.

Our events are all Adults Only. Looking forwards to seeing you then 🙌
