MORE NEWS!!

We’re incredibly proud to announce that 2026/27 continues our squadron’s outstanding tradition of success with the appointment of not just one but two Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadets 👏

CWO Robert Garla has been selected to represent Mid Glamorgan, while Cdt Sgt Jasper Rigg will serve South Glamorgan.

The role of a Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadet is a prestigious honour, supporting His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant, the King’s personal representative in each county, at civic and ceremonial events throughout the year.

Rob has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, professionalism, and commitment within the squadron. His calm authority and ability to mentor junior cadets make him a natural choice for this role, and we know he will represent both the squadron and Mid Glamorgan with distinction.

Jasper has shown outstanding dedication, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for cadet service. His strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to go above and beyond have set him apart, and we are confident he will be an excellent ambassador for South Glamorgan.

To have two appointments in one year is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the high standards, values, and spirit of our cadets.

Please join us in congratulating Rob and Jasper on this fantastic accomplishment. We wish them every success in their year ahead!

Llongyfarchiadau CWO Garla & Sgt Rigg!

A huge congratulations to CWO Garton on being selected as an International Air Cadet Exchange (IACE) Conducting Cadet 🇬🇧✈️

This is an exceptional achievement, with CWO Garton being one of only two cadets across the UK chosen for this role. As a Conducting Cadet, she will play a key part in supporting and guiding international cadets visiting the UK, helping them experience the very best of what the RAF Air Cadets and the country have to offer.

This opportunity is a true testament to her dedication, leadership, and the high standard she has consistently demonstrated throughout her cadet career.

We are incredibly proud of her and have no doubt she will represent the Squadron, Wing, and the RAF Air Cadets with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Da iawn, CWO Garton – a phenomenal achievement! 👏
