On Thursday 1st October 2026, was such an honour and privilege — celebrating the 84th Anniversary of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) at the National Memorial Arboretum 🌳🕊️

It was a deeply moving occasion, made even more special by the presence of our Colonel‑in‑Chief, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Edinburgh 🎖️

Proud to stand among fellow veterans and serving members, remembering our history, our people, and the enduring bond we share. Once REME, always REME 💙⚙️

Another Wonderful Day with the REME CORP and the amazing Chelsea Pensioners for a Parade and curry lunch. Both Katherine and myself were honoured to be take part in this special occasion.

🏉 REME Rugby Awards Dinner – Cardiff 🏉
Right then, listen in…
If you’ve ever worn the kit, carried the ball, or just mastered the art of “tactical spectating” from the clubhouse bar, this one’s for you. The REME Rugby Awards Dinner is back at Cardiff Masonic Hall on Friday 17th July 2026—and it promises to be a cracking night of rugby dits, questionable decisions, and awards that may or may not be deserved.
Expect good scran, top company, plenty of banter, and the usual attempts to maintain military standards as the evening progresses (no guarantees). It’s a brilliant night every year and thoroughly recommended—so don’t be the one hearing about it afterwards.
