What a fantastic day at The Lodge as part of Big Green Week!

A huge diolch yn fawr to everyone who came along and got involved today โ€“ local residents, businesses, volunteers, young people and community councillors all rolled up their sleeves and worked together to make a real difference.

Together we:
๐ŸŒณ Planted a tree that will grow for generations to come
๐Ÿฅ• Created a vegetable garden for young people to enjoy and learn from
๐Ÿชด Explored the benefits of indoor house plants and how they can improve our wellbeing
๐ŸŒฑ Took part in environmental education activities, sharing ideas about how we can all play our part in looking after our environment

It was brilliant to see people of all ages working side-by-side, sharing knowledge, having a laugh and showing true cymuned spirit.

At Boys and Girls Clubs of Wales, we believe young people should have opportunities to learn, grow and help shape the communities around them. Today was a wonderful example of that in action.

A massive thank you to everyone who supported the day and helped make it such a success. Da iawn pawb!

A brilliant session yesterday at Cardiff Youth Serviceโ€™s Eastmoors Youth Centre ๐ŸŒŸ

It was truly amazing to see how many young people got involved and the conversations we had around politics, including schooling, job opportunities and the LGBTQ+ community ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿซฑ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿซฒ๐Ÿฝ

Our Pizza and Politics sessions are a great opportunity to engage young people in politics in a fun way, which also feels relevant to them. A focus on registering to vote ensures that the young people are all ready to go for next years local election ๐Ÿ•
