We have been working on our latest project to improve the outside areas at the Allan Centre. We have cleared and prepared the raised planters in the rear car park and supplied and installed 3 new recycled plastic planters in the upper area. These have recently been filled with topsoil and compost ready for planting up. We are adding a further ingredient. Thanks to our friends at Grain and Grind, we have incorporated used coffee grounds to the growing medium. As well as being rich in nitrogen and other essential nutrients, they also smell very nice!😊 and will boost the growth of the plants. 🌺🌼🌸.
We look forward to a very colourful display over the summer in this latest addition to the areas we look after.

Today’s work was completed despite heavy rain, thunder and hailstones!!
Very kind of the Red Herring to rescue the volunteers with coffee!
The baskets and planters are blooming but the w**ds need attention too.
Please help by pulling a w**d when you are out and about. 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱
Check out the difference that some w**d eradication makes to our town.

A great effort by our willing team of volunteers hanging all the beautiful baskets over the last two days, which will grace Bridge of Allan for the next few months.

Thankyou to everyone yesterday who came to buy plants and meet up with friends over a cuppa.
Our annual plant sale succeeded in raising funds to support our many projects, which keeps Bridge of Allan looking so good.
