Last weekend, 1483 attended the B-17 Memorial in West Horndon to remember and honour the American airmen who tragically lost their lives in 1943.

The commemoration was followed by a service at St Francis Church.

Well done to Cdt Campbell, who laid a wreath on behalf of us all in remembrance of those who lost their lives.

☁️ A day in the skies!

1483 were lucky enough to have 9 cadets take to the skies and experience gliding during their summer! ✈️ And it wasn’t just the cadets - 3 members of staff also got the opportunity to have a go! 🙌

A huge thank you to the fantastic team at 615 VGS for looking after us and giving us such a brilliant day. We had a great time.

Well done to our cadets who proudly represented 1483 at our Annual Wing Parade, celebrating 85 years of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets and 25 years of Essex Wing RAF Air Cadets! ✈️ Our cadets proudly marched through Brentwood High Street to Brentwood Cathedral, where a service was held.

A special well done to CWO Scrutton for carrying the Wing Banner on parade, and to Cdt Dixon for giving a reading during the service 🌟

🌟Cadet of the Month🌟
August - Cdt Papaphilippou

A HUGE well done to Cdt Papaphilippou, who was awarded our August Cadet of the Month following a fantastic commendation Flt Lt Morgan received after Cdt Papaphilippou attended RAF Waddington camp ✈️

Cdt Papaphilippou was praised for being helpful and polite, going out of his way to support a cadet who was struggling to walk back from the mess, staying with them, keeping them smiling!

It is great to hear that he represented 1483 well and demonstrated the qualities we hope to encourage in all of our cadets 👏
