๐Ÿ’™ Visitor Update โ€“ Friday 26th June ๐Ÿ’™

Following our decision to close on Tuesday this week, we have now also made the difficult decision to close to visitors on Friday 26th June as the high temperatures set to continue.

Everyone with a booking for Friday will be contacted as soon as possible by a member of our team ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

We know this may be disappointing for those who were looking forward to visiting, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding and support. Thank you for helping us put our animals first ๐Ÿ’™

On a more serious note, we hope everyone (human and animal alike!) stays safe during this spell of extreme heat. Please remember to stay hydrated, seek out shade where possible, avoid unnecessary time in the sun during the hottest part of the day, and check in on vulnerable friends, family members and pets โ˜€๏ธ

Good morning from some of the biggest breakfast enthusiasts at the sanctuary! ๐Ÿฎ

While most of us are still reaching for that first cup of coffee, these gentle giants have already tucked into their breakfast and are ready to start the day ๐Ÿฅฐ

We hope your morning is wonderful too ๐Ÿ’™

Important Visitor Update โ€“ Tuesday 23rd June ๐Ÿ’™

Due to the extreme temperatures forecast for tomorrow, we have made the difficult decision to close the sanctuary to visitors on Tuesday 23rd June.

The welfare of our 700 rescued residents will always be our top priority, and our team needs to be able to give 100% of their attention to ensuring the animals remain safe, comfortable and well cared for throughout the heatwave.

Thank you for your understanding and support. Please take care of yourselves, stay cool where possible, and keep an eye on elderly relatives, neighbours and pets during the heat โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒก๏ธ

Sending lots of love to our handsome boy, Fen ๐Ÿ’™

Fen has been feeling a little under the weather recently after picking up a virus, but heโ€™s receiving plenty of treatment, care and TLC from our dedicated team of animal caregivers ๐Ÿด

While heโ€™s not quite his usual self just yet, heโ€™s in the best possible hands and weโ€™re hopeful heโ€™ll be back to full health again soon.

Please join us in wishing Fen a speedy recovery and leave him a little message of support in the comments โ€“ weโ€™re sure heโ€™d appreciate all the love ๐Ÿฅฐ

WOW, WOW, WOW - what an AMAZING Vegan & Wellness Day we had today! ๐Ÿ’š

Not only did we welcome our highest number of visitors ever in the five years we've been hosting this event, but it was also such a pleasure for our team to spend the day surrounded by so many like-minded people who share our passion for kindness, compassion and animal welfare ๐Ÿซถ

Thank you to each and every person who came along today. By attending, you've not only helped support the work we do here at Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, but you've also supported so many fantastic small businesses, charities and organisations doing incredible things.

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful stallholders:

Norwegian Bakers, Suffolk & Essex Hunt Sabs, My Creative Meditation, Handcrafted Sparkle , Moksha Herbs, Little Shanti Gifts, Essex Badger Protection Group, Gluttony Fudge, That Green Life UK, Juicy Bar Vitality, The Hoppy Acre Animal Sanctuary, The Pixie Witch Emporium, Greedy Vegan Van, Fitness with Corinne, Essex Wildlife Trust, Creative Grass Ltd., Gaaga's Sauce, Perfect Pressure, Emily Jones Reflexology, Wanderers Haven Animal Sanctuary, Forever Living, Brentwood Counselling and Therapy Centre, Scents by Susanne, Camp Beagle, Champagne Street, Enak (it won't let us tag everyone sadly ๐Ÿ˜ข)

A special thank you to Brentwood Counselling and Therapy Centre & Therapy Centre and Wellbeing Yoga, whose workshops were hugely popular throughout the day and received fantastic feedback from visitors ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ

And of course, thank you to the incredibly talented Connor Arnold and CHLOEJET for entertaining the crowds and providing the perfect soundtrack to the day ๐ŸŽถ

Last but certainly not least, a massive thank you to our incredible team of staff and volunteers. From welcoming visitors on arrival, running stalls, serving food and drinks, keeping everything clean and tidy, assisting traders, leading activities and caring for our 700 rescued animals โ€” events like this simply wouldn't be possible without you ๐Ÿฅฐ

We're absolutely blown away by the support shown and are already excited for the next one! ๐Ÿ’š
