This weekend our church organised a Michaelmas Fair. They are fund raising for a Steeple repair.
We showcased our WI and all the activities we undertake. Our year books were well appreciated. We were both surprised and delighted at the interest shown. We sat there all day, in shifts, from toasted tea cakes for breakfast to ploughman’s for lunch and later a cream tea. Some members helped with the catering, see pic, all smartly dressed in Downton Abbey style.

A really good meeting today with lots of social time. Four new members came which brings our numbers up to 62.
The request to wear purple to mark WI Day was quite well supported as you will see from pics.

A very successful MacMillan coffee morning at Hazel’s house yesterday. Well supported by our members, and rather personal to quite a few, with an amazing amount of cake. £230 raised. Well done all.

Good news for all the Darters.
It’s looking like there are more participants taking part this year. We are looking forward to the challenge as well as the tea and cake 🎂🎯

A few of us have been enjoying meeting on Friday mornings at the revamped cafe area at Hanging Baskets Garden Centre on the 414.
It’s surprising who you can bump
