At Brave, we are passionate about supporting parent carers when they need it most.

Recently, we were delighted to meet with the incredible Play Specialists from the UCLH Children’s Radiology and Proton Beam Therapy departments to explore how we can work together to support families accessing these vital services.

Following a productive discussion, we created a number of our unisex Brave Boxes for the team to gift to parent carers whose children are undergoing treatment and appointments within the departments.

Each Brave Box is filled with thoughtful self-care items, designed to encourage moments of rest, wellbeing and kindness during what can be an incredibly challenging time for families.

We are proud to be working alongside healthcare professionals to ensure parent carers feel seen, valued and supported while caring for their children.

Last chance to sign up to our next Brave Virtual Event
Skincare Tutorial Using Gua Sha. Closing for this event is Sunday 14th June as this allows enough time for us to send your skincare pack through the door.

Enjoy a relaxing evening at 8:30pm on Thursday 25th June 2026 as we share with you a Step by Step Skincare Tutorial. Take a step back from the day to day stresses as you learn how to care for your skin, be introduced to the health benefits of using a Gua Sha and have some dedicated time to focus on you.

When you sign up to this virtual event, you will be sent through the post a Brave Skincare Kit which will include everything you will need for the evening.

This class is completely free for Parent Carers to attend. Email us if you would like to be added to our attendee list.

We will be at Summerfest with our charity tombola this Sunday 5th July, 11am - 5pm at Sun Corner in Billericay.

This event is put on by The Rotary Club of Billericay Mayflower.

This week, for volunteers week, some keen gardeners came to our Brave Garden.

The garden is really starting to look and feel like a garden now, with bursts of colour beginning to appear from the flowers both volunteers and parent carers have planted over the past few months

Between the heavy showers, the sun came out and shone down on us while we worked, making it a lovely morning to be outdoors together.

Every helping hand makes a difference, and we’re so grateful to everyone who gives their time to help us create a beautiful and welcoming space for our parent carer community.

We are excited to be partnering with to bring parent carers a beautiful virtual art and wellbeing session from the comfort of your own home.

Everything you need to take part will be sent directly to you through the post, so all you need to do is sign up, log on, relax and enjoy some creative time for yourself.

Create Yourself Calm are a creative health provider passionate about supporting mental health and wellbeing through art, creativity and mindfulness. Their workshops are designed for everyone, whether you’re a complete beginner or already love being creative.

The session will be fully led by the wonderful team Sue and Lindsay at Create Yourself Calm and together they create a calming, welcoming space that encourages relaxation, creativity and self-care.

This is your reminder that taking time for yourself matters too.

Spaces are limited and booking is essential.
