π§ Did you know? Azure Damselflies have a one-year life cycle, spending most of it as larvae. Hidden among underwater vegetation, the larvae ambush passing prey such as midge larvae and small crustaceans
π Identify: Males are pale blue with black bands along the body with a black βUβ shaped marking below the base of the wings. Females are green and black
π²Habitat: Small ponds and streams, found at the edges of larger water bodies
