Got composting questions?

Garden Organic and the Composting in the Community Network are running a FREE Community Composting ‘Question Time’ webinar on Thursday 27th November, 7-8pm. Composting in the community can take many forms, from a group of neighbours producing home garden compost, through to collection and composting from multiple sources on a communal site, using either green ‘waste’ and / or food ‘waste’. Our network of practitioners will help answer questions to support all aspects of your community composting project. Book your FREE place 👇

Please see photos for details on signing up!

Want to learn new skills about planting and growing fruit trees, berries, vegetables and herbs?

Greener Growth is holding a series of planting volunteer days with the first two in November.

You’ll be helping plant a Food Forest at Dandelion Farm a Holywell Row near Mildenhall, promoting the growth of local, sustainable produce for the local community.

It’s one of the projects that we’ve supported through our Building Resilience And Nutrition (BRAN) fund set up to support food projects that are working to:

• lift people out of food poverty such as through additional support to help people improve their finance

• give people increased confidence and skills such as growing their own food or making low cost healthy and nutritious meals

• connect with local producers and food retailers to share food and reduce food waste

• ensure the resilience of food projects by developing or expanding their existing offer and upskilling volunteers

BRAN has been created from £90,000 given by Suffolk Public Sector Leaders and is being delivered by West Suffolk Council in partnership with Community Action Suffolk and Suffolk County Council

🌸 Thank You from Brandon & District Garden Club! 🌸

A (slightly late!) but very heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our Annual Flower Show – what a brilliant day!

We were treated to some fantastic entries – from impressive flower displays and homegrown vegetables to delicious bakes, jams and jellies. A special thank you as well to the local groups who shared their wonderful photography and artwork – it really added to the atmosphere and made the day feel extra special.

If you didn’t take part this year, why not join in next time? Whether it’s flowers, veg, baking, or art – we’d love to see even more people involved in 2026!
