Please note: this post mentions bereavement by su***de.
We’re so proud of Senior Neighbourhood Lead, Natalie, for launching a peer support group with a charity close to her heart, Survivors of Bereavement by Su***de (SOBS).
The group is open to anyone over 18 who has been affected by su***de loss and would benefit from meeting others who truly understand. It offers a safe, confidential, and supportive environment to share experiences, listen, and connect without judgement.
Group meets will take place every second Wednesday of the month between 7-9pm, starting this Wednesday, 10 June at Howards Hall, Braintree.
Natalie says: “We are launching this group to support others in Essex who have been bereaved by su***de, a cause that is deeply personal to me, following the loss of my brother-in-law, Michael, in 2022.
“Since then, I have volunteered with SOBS for three years and can see just how vital peer support can be. This group will offer the only dedicated peer-to-peer support network in Essex, providing a safe and understanding space for those navigating similar loss.”
We understand how isolating bereavement by su***de can feel. If this could be helpful to you, a neighbour, or someone in your community, please do share.
