Could you be eligible for Pension Credit?

Pension Credit is more than just extra income. It could also help you access additional support with energy bills, housing costs, Council Tax and other everyday household expenses.

Many people who qualify are not currently claiming, so it’s worth taking a few minutes to check to make sure you're getting the support you're entitled to in time for winter.

Do you want to help shape the future of Eastlight's grounds maintenance service?

There's now just a few days left to apply for our Grounds Maintenance Scrutiny Review Day.

We're looking for residents to share their experiences, review how the service is performing and help develop recommendations for future improvements.

Whether you've got ideas about what's working well, what could be better, or simply want to make a difference in your community, we'd love to hear from you.

No previous scrutiny experience is needed so please feel free to join us on Monday, 28 September from 10am to 2.30pm at Eastlight House, Charter Way, Braintree.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided, and everyone who attends will receive a £50 Love2shop voucher.

Can't make it in person? You can still get involved through our Remote Feedback option. We'll send you information about the service and invite you to share your views to help inform the review. Participants will receive a £10 Love2shop voucher as a thank you.

Spaces are limited and applications close on 4 September (or sooner if all places are filled), so don't miss your chance to influence a service that affects many of our neighbourhoods.

We're so pleased and proud to have just built our 2,000th new home since we formed in 2020!

Alongside residents and partners, we celebrated the achievement at our Rivenhall development in Witham, where we’re building 202 homes by 2029 with Bellway and Calford Seaden.

Building new homes is about much more than bricks and mortar. Behind every front door is a person, couple or family with a safe, warm place to call home, somewhere they can put down roots, build stability and create lasting memories.

One of those residents is Michelle Duffy, who recently moved into her new Eastlight home with her son and their two (very cute) dogs.

If you’re looking for some extra storage space or somewhere secure to keep your vehicle, then you’re in luck as applications for our available garages are now open.

Garages are currently available across Witham, Rivenhall and Great Yeldham. But be quick! Applications are processed in the order they're received, so the sooner you apply, the better your chances.

If you need help with an emergency repair during this time, you can call us on 0330 128 0330 while we’re closed.

For non-urgent repairs, anti-social behaviour, or damp and mould concerns, you can report these anytime via your My Eastlight portal or app.

With a "no teaching, no preaching" approach, the group is led by participants, allowing everyone to learn at their own pace in a friendly, non-judgemental environment.

It was so lovely to be part of the celebrations and spend time with our local community at Braintree Pride UK this weekend!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall for a chat, got involved in our activities, and shared their experiences with us.

We loved seeing people of all ages getting creative, decorating our bunting flags with colourful designs, positive messages, and their own thoughts on what Pride means to them. The finished bunting will soon be hanging in our office!

We also asked people one simple question: What does Pride mean to you? The answers were both honest and inspiring.

Big thanks to everyone who came along and got involved! And a special shoutout to our Head of Development, Andy, and Eastlight residents, Essex Police, The OutHouse, Collidescope, Essex Sexual Health Service and Genesis for sharing what Pride means to you 🫶

Eastlight's Foundry Court Community Centre in Manningtree has had a glow-up!

And local businesses, groups and charities are invited to celebrate with us at our drop-in event on Tuesday, 8 September from 10am - 12pm.

Guests, including Manningtree’s Mayor, Cllr Ruth Stocks, can enjoy refreshments, take a guided tour, meet members of the local community & businesses already using the centre, and learn more about the range of spaces available for hire.
