If you are looking for something to do tomorrow, and you love plants, why not come to our annual plant sale.

As always, this popular event is taking place at John Mitchell Electrical in Fairfield Road. We have a large range of plants available for you to purchase with all monies going to charity (cash and card payments accepted).

Don't forget to spread the word, and hope to see you there 🦁

Saturday night saw 15 club members, together with partners, friends, family, and other visiting Lion members, attend our 46th Charter Dinner, at Gosfield Golf Club.

Once again we had a fabulous meal provided by staff at the golf club. Following this club president Roger gave a short speech thanking people for attending and letting everyone know what the club members had been doing over the last year.

Following his main speech club president Roger surprised club member Simon with an award. The award is called a Melvin Jones Fellowship (MJF), and was presented in recognition for the many years of service that Simon has given to the club and the local community (nearly 37 years - he is still one of the younger members - he is also the one writing this 😂).

Once all of the eating and formal part of the night was over it was then time for the entertainment which was provided by the excellent Nite Train Disco.

Our thanks, as always, to everyone who came along and made it such a great Charter Night 🦁

Tomorrow (MONDAY 22nd), see us out for our final collection night of 2025 😢

We end this year in the village of Cressing.

The roads that we plan to collect on can be found here: ( https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1iMRIyNV9ePBHFYLxVhvNPklKbD7l2qY&usp=sharing ). If you click on the link it should take you to a more detailed route map. There are also markers on there with VERY approximate times of us arriving. (THIS IS JUST A GUIDE AND WE MAY BE EARLIER/LATER THAN SHOWN). As usual we will try our best to use our tracker, and will post the link to this page when it is live at about 6pm.

Finally, please remember that every one of us on the collection is a volunteer. We're giving up our time to try and make your Christmas a bit nicer in what can be difficult times for some. We look forward to seeing you all.

Tomorrow (SUNDAY 21st), we will be collecting at a new venue for us.

You will find us at Braintree Town Football Club, on Cressing Road. We have been invited to the game along with Father Christmas and his sleigh. If you are at the game why not come over and say hello and tell Father Christmas what you would like (3 points for Braintree I'm sure 😁).

We appreciate any donations you can give to us, and accept both cash and card. Looking forward to seeing you at the game ⚽️

Collection number 9 (WEDNESDAY 17TH), sees us nearing the end of our nights with Father Christmas. It also sees us on the Marks Farm estate.

We again have some Santa Stops. These will enable you to have some pictures taken with Father Christmas (nobody will be permitted to climb on to the sleigh). We have marked the stops on the map, and, time allowing, we will hopefully stop for around 5 minutes. Please keep a look out for our bright red Santa Stop boards, and we will hopefully be able to stop somewhere close to these.

SUNDAY 14th DECEMBER sees us doing our second static collection. This time you will find us at Braintree Village (at the rear car park entrance I believe) between 10am and 4pm.

If you're there doing some shopping come and say hello to Father Christmas. He always loves to see you all.
