Coffee & Questions is THIS WEEK! ☕️

We’re delighted to have Aaliyah and Jane hosting this weeks Coffee & Questions.

❤️ Aaliyah lives with dilated cardiomyopathy and brings her own experience of living with a heart condition.

❤️ Jane is a heart mum and understands first-hand the journey of supporting a child with a heart condition.

Together, they’ll create a welcoming space to ask questions, share experiences and connect with other heart families who understand what you’re going through. 🫶

Children’s Hearts UK is supporting a research study led by Great Ormond Street Hospital and University College London (UCL), exploring families’ experiences of children’s intensive care.

📅 The final online discussion session takes place this Friday 9 October 12pm-2pm

Following the series of discussion meetings, families can also share their experiences through an online discussion board. This is an opportunity to share your views, experiences and ideas and help shape the future of children’s intensive care services.

Your experiences matter and can help researchers better understand what families need. ❤️

Grandparents, this one is for you! 💗

Being a grandparent of a child with a heart condition can bring a whole mix of emotions, questions and worries. You may be supporting your family through appointments, hospital stays, surgery and recovery, while sometimes wondering where you fit in.

We’re bringing our Coffee & Questions and Drop-In Sessions together for a special opportunity for grandparents to connect, chat and ask questions, with your host Nicola, a mum of four and a very proud grandma to four grandsons knowing first-hand the highs, lows, questions and uncertainties that can come with supporting a child with a heart condition.

Whether you’re a grandparent who has been on this journey for years or your grandchild has only recently received a diagnosis, you’re welcome to join us.
