Watson Your Mind - A Hug In A Mug - grief support group Born from love, loss, and lived experience, Hug in a Mug exists to offer comfort and hope when it’s needed most.

At the heart of everything we do is reminding people that their life matters and they are not alone.

Each week we try to bring something a little different to our sessions. This weeks session (Tue 5th May) we had a lovely lady come and share the benefits of solution focused hypnotherapy.

Week four, cups in hand and hearts open.
Tues 3rd March we had 12 attendees come through the door.

Twelve people choosing connection.
Twelve people choosing to refill their cup.
Twelve people sharing their stories.

Every week this space grows….not necessarily in numbers, but in trust, laughter, honesty and courage.

Today reminded us that even on heavy days, we don’t have to carry it alone.

Healing together
One brew at a time ☕💛

14 brave people. One safe space.

Tonight at Hug in a Mug we shared stories, listened without judgement, and supported each other with care and compassion.

It was only our 2nd session but the courage you all showed tonight was admirable.

Thank you for showing up, you made the room brighter just by being in it.

Yesterday I spent the day at work…whilst I listened to the radio I felt this pull in the pit of my tummy and a cloud of sadness hung over me. It was Valentines day so naturally the radio presenters were celebrating all things valentines.

But the truth is Valentine’s weekend isn’t all love and roses for everyone. (I’m lucky, I still have my husband , who is the most amazing man I have ever known)

But for some, it can quietly highlight feelings of loss, loneliness, heartbreak, or simply wishing life looked a little different.

If this weekend isn’t all about love and roses and feels heavy for you, please know that your feelings are valid and you are never alone in them.

However this weekend looks for you, we’re sending our positive thoughts, love and a little invisible hug in your mug 🤗

Together we can break silence and build new hope…one cuppa at a time!

14/02/2026

On Tuesday, my volunteers and I welcomed 10 incredible individuals into Denholme commminity centre with warm smiles and a Hug in their Mug. ☕💙

15 brews were made 🫖

More than 15 biscuits were eaten 🤭

15 invisible hugs given 🤗

Our first session was all about connections, creating a safe, welcoming space where everyone could simply arrive as they are.

No two journeys are the same and that’s “OK”

I’m so proud of every person who took that first step with us. Walking into a room full of strangers, especially when emotions run deep, takes real strength.

On Tuesday you all showed:

💪🏼 COURAGE
⭐️ BRAVERY
🙏🏼 HOPE

And that is something truly special and something to be so proud of.

I’ll be honest… if you think you’re scared, try standing in my shoes… I’m terrified too 🫣 This is completely new to me…and my volunteers, I’m putting myself out there at one of the most vulnerable times of my life. But the Watson Your Mind family truly believe this space is needed, and if our little group can help even one person feel a bit lighter, then every ounce of fear is worth it.

Come on this joirney with us, Let’s keep showing up for each other and building something special… supporting one another, one sip at a time. ☕✨
