Good evening all. Please keep those donations of tombola prizes coming, speak to friends and neighbours and dig out those unwanted toiletries etc.

Hello family and friends of 2458 Squadron.
We are coming up to our busiest time of year for community engagement and fund raising. We are at a number of carnivals and events and we need tombola prizes.
Please look in forgotten cupboards and find unwanted Christmas and birthday gifts, toys, packets of biscuits, spare wine, chocolates and those bizarre gifts that strange aunties get us every year.

Please bring them to our headquarters on a Monday or Wednesday night to help us raise funds to keep providing amazing opportunities for our cadets.

These are 2458s new recruits going through their Initial Expedition Training, learning how to put up tents, about the required kit, how to pack bags and map reading. Skills they will have ample opportunity to put into practice thanks to our upcoming Adventure Training programme

This evening 2458 welcomed WO2 LUKER of the Royal Navy who came al the way from Plymouth to speak to the cadets.
He spoke about the work the Royal Navy is doing at the moment around the world. He also spoke about what makes up a strike group and how Royal Navy and RAF aircraft work together.
This was an excellent insight into the senior service, thoroughly enjoyed by the cadets.

Flight Sergeant DYSON putting his best foot forward at the RAF Cosford road marching event.
FS DYSON has been an ambassador for Road Marching within 2458, having completed many events as well as the 4-day 120km Nijmegen March.

The government has announced the first-ever National Cadets Week, taking place from 5-11 October 2026.

Cadet units across the UK will open their doors to schools, families and communities to showcase the opportunities available through cadet programmes - from leadership and first aid training to adventure activities and nationally recognised qualifications.

The initiative supports the government's '30 by 30' campaign to expand cadet opportunities for young people across the UK.
