We are thrilled to announce that Real Hope Initiative CIC has partnered with Voice4Change England to deliver EducateHer Climate Initiative in Bradford; a community-owned, intersectional climate leadership programme for girls and young women aged 14 to 29 from Bradford’s BME communities.

EducateHer is built on a simple but radical premise: the girls most affected by the climate crisis are also the girls most capable of solving it, if given the tools, the space and the belief that their leadership matters.

Through Climate-Smart Education workshops, Climate Cafes, Girl-Led Community Climate Action and the Where Climate Meets Race Conference, we will be developing Bradford’s next generation of climate leaders, young women who will shape their communities, their city and their future.

This partnership is funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation through V4CE’s Where Climate Meets Race Strategy and supported by an academic partnership with Gender Inclusive Climate Change Governance at the University of Bradford.

If you know a girl or young woman aged 14 to 29 in Bradford who should be part of this; send her our way.

This International Youth Day, we celebrate the power, passion, and potential of young people everywhere.

Empowering the youth of today means more than just words, it means amplifying diverse voices, creating space for every story, and uniting around the goals that shape a better tomorrow.

When young people are seen, heard, and supported, they participate and lead the change. ✨

Here’s to the next generation of changemakers.
Here’s to unity, courage, and hope. 💜

🌿 **Unmuted in Nature: Arts & Healing Gathering**

What happens when women are given space to pause, create, speak and simply be?

At our latest **Unmuted in Nature**, **25+ women and 2 male allies** came together at Lister Park for a day centred on wellbeing, creativity, movement and community.

Through women's health conversations, grounding, breathwork, yoga, mindfulness, archery, badminton, volleyball, storytelling, henna and our Unmuted on Canvas session, we explored the many dimensions of wellbeing.

And the canvas became more than art. Some women painted their experiences of how climate and environmental changes affect their health and well-being, creating a powerful connection between women's health, climate and lived experience.

Some stories were spoken. Others were painted. Some simply shared through laughter, connection and presence.

This is why **Unmuted** exists: because healing can happen through community, creativity, nature and being heard.

**No woman should have to navigate her journey alone.** 💚

We are absolutely thrilled to share that we have been nominated as a finalist in the Wellbeing Superstars category at the Hope Awards 2026!!

Breaking the Silence on Fibroids and Women’s Health was built on the stories of women who had been suffering in silence for years, navigating language barriers, cultural stigma and symptoms dismissal.

Since launching, we have reached 224+ women across Bradford, championed advocacy about women’s health, provided dignity kits to women and created safe spaces and a budding community where women feel supported.
Alongside this, Unmuted; our women’s health and wellbeing gatherings combining yoga, mindfulness, arts for healing, peer support and nature-based healing; continues to grow, meeting women where they are.

With community research underway, an expanding programme and so much more to come, we are just getting started. Your support makes this possible.
Thank you and the Hope Awards 2026
Committee for creating a space to celebrate the consistent and transformative impact happening in communities across our region.

See you at New Craven Hall in October.

🌿 Meet Our Holistic Wellbeing Facilitator, Rifat of Smile to Rise Holistic Healing Therapies 💚

At Unmuted in Nature, Rifat will gently guide us through grounding, breathwork, mindfulness and anchoring techniques, while exploring how our emotional wellbeing can influence the way we feel physically. In the midst of life’s demands, every woman deserves a moment to pause, breathe and reconnect with herself. Together, we’ll create a calm and supportive space that nurtures resilience, restores balance and reminds us that healing often begins with simply taking a breath. ✨

🎨 Meet Our Arts & Healing Facilitator, Arty Asma! 💚

Sometimes, healing begins with a single brushstroke.
When words feel too heavy, art can help us express emotions, reflect on our journeys and reconnect with ourselves and others.

At Unmuted in Nature, Asma will guide a creative space where every woman is free to paint, create and simply be. No experience needed, just an open heart. 🌿✨

Come create, connect and heal with us.

POV: You came to Unmuted for “a wellbeing event”… and left as a dancer, an archer, an artist and everyone’s new best friend. 😂💚

Because healing isn’t always quiet.
Sometimes it looks like laughter, movement, creativity and community.

Who’s joining us next? 🌿✨

Every story matters. 💚

The voices from our first **Unmuted in Nature** gathering remind us why this work is so important. Women shared that they felt less isolated, more informed about their health, and part of a genuine community where they were seen, heard and supported. These stories are more than feedback; they are the reason we continue to create safe spaces where women can connect, heal and thrive together.

This is only the beginning. 🌿

🍀Unmuted in Nature Arts and Healing Gathering🖌️🍀

🌿 You asked. We listened. 💚

After the incredible success of Breaking the Silence on Fibroids and Women’s Health and our first Unmuted in Nature gathering, one message kept coming through our feedback forms, surveys and conversations:

“Please do more.”

Women wanted more safe spaces to connect, heal, learn and support one another. So, we’re excited to introduce Unmuted in Nature: Arts & Healing Gathering.

✨ What to expect:

🎨 Arts for Healing
🏹 Archery
🧘🏽‍♀️ Yoga
🌿 Mindfulness
🏸 Badminton
💜 Women’s Health & Mental Wellbeing Advocacy Circle

Together, we’ll explore women’s health, build meaningful connections, embrace nature, move our bodies and use creativity as a tool for healing.

This is more than an event. It’s a growing community where no woman has to face her health journey alone.

We’re also looking to partner with artists, health professionals, organisations and sponsors who share our vision of creating healthier women and stronger communities.

Managing the Stress of Living with a Gynaecological Condition.
Chronic conditions are chronically stressful. And while we fight for systemic change, we also want every woman in our community to have tools to support her own wellbeing right now. Here are evidence-informed practices that can help:

🧘 MIND: • Mindfulness and meditation, even 5 minutes daily reduces cortisol • Journalling symptoms and emotions helps you advocate more clearly at appointments • Cognitive behavioural techniques for managing health anxiety

🌱 BODY: • Anti-inflammatory nutrition (reduce processed sugar, increase leafy greens, omega-3 sources) • Gentle movement yoga, swimming, walking, on days when pain allows • Tracking your cycle using an app or diary empowers you in medical consultations

🤝 COMMUNITY: • Peer support groups reduce feelings of isolation and shame • Sharing experiences with women who 'get it' is clinically shown to reduce distress • You do not have to manage this alone.

Our peer educator network and support groups are growing. Watch this space for how to connect.
