We have had so much fun learning and practising the signs and putting this together over summer.

This week in our Children's Playscheme, we've been focusing on the importance of friendship.
The children have enjoyed taking part in lots of team games and group activities, learning how to work together, support one another, and have fun as friends.
One of our favourite activities was making and decorating biscuits. The children then chose a special friend they would like to give their biscuit to, helping us celebrate kindness, sharing, and thinking about others.
It's been wonderful to see friendships grow and confidence shine throughout the week. We're so proud of all the children for the kindness and teamwork they have shown!

What a wonderful evening!🍹☀️⛱️

We want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who joined us for our Adults Service Summer Garden Party yesterday and to everyone who helped organise, prepare and make the evening so special!

It was absolutely lovely to see our adults, families, friends and staff all together, laughing, socialising and having such a fun time.

It was lovely to celebrate in our garden that our young people have worked so hard on this summer. The money raised in our Easter Bake Sale earlier this year helped us with our garden project and it was wonderful to see it being enjoyed by everyone.

The positive feedback we received throughout the evening meant so much to us. We heard some really touching stories from parents, including that for some of our adults, this was the first party they had ever been invited to. Moments like this reminds us exactly why creating opportunities to socialise, celebrate and feel included is so important 💛🫶🏼

And to top it all off, together we raised… £492.78 for our Adults Service!!!🎉

Thank you to everyone who bought food and drinks, played our games, purchased crafts, donated and supported us 🍦🍔

🎉 WE ARE 26! 🎉

Today, we proudly celebrate 26 years of SNOOP! 🥳

What began 26 years ago as a vision has grown into an organisation that has supported, empowered, and made a lasting difference in the lives of countless people. ❤️

This milestone is a celebration of everyone who has been part of SNOOP's journey—our founders, trustees, staff, supporters, and most importantly the families we've had the privilege to work alongside. Together, you've helped shape SNOOP into the organisation it is today.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past 26 years. We're incredibly proud of what we've achieved together and excited for what the future holds.

Here's to celebrating our journey, our impact, and many more years of making a difference. 🎂✨

Mindfulness Week 🧘🏼‍♀️🪴

This week we have focused on taking time to relax. We have enjoyed making our own aromatherapy dough which helped us feel “calm” & “relaxed”, having a go at guided meditation, hand massages and lots of crafts such as making our own dream catchers. As a group we created a kindness web, sharing kind things about our friends and ourselves 🧘🏼‍♀️

We finished the week with a Healthy Me session delivered by Carol, talking about immunisations and how young people with SEND can be supported to make these experiences more accessible. Keep an eye out for more on this soon!👀🩼

Next week is Celebration Week and preparations are already underway for our Adults Service Garden Party 🌸🎉

Sometimes the world around us can feel very busy and overwhelming, so this week it has been lovely to take some time to relax, be mindful and enjoy activities that help us feel calm ✨🫶🏼

Today, we’re celebrating an incredible milestone as Carol marks 26 years since opening SNOOP’s doors! 🥳

Over 26 years ago, a vision over a glass of wine and a turkey sandwich on the living room floor along side Carol Amery turned into reality. What started as an idea, driven by passion, determination, and commitment to making a difference, has grown into an organisation that has changed the lives of so many. 🌟

Through your leadership, hard work, and unwavering dedication, you’ve continued to build not only a successful organisation but also a caring community that continues to support and empower people every day. ❤️

What a brilliant week we've had at our Summer Holiday Playscheme!

Around the World Week!✈️🌎🗺️

Our adults have been busy exploring all over the world! We have visited France, Italy, Australia, India and Mexico. Alongside lots of research and learning about each country, we have enjoyed building the Eiffel Tower, making tasty homemade pizzas, having a group game of cricket, Bollywood dancing, tasting traditional foods and finally having a go at a Piñata… can you tell Gail was feeling sorry for the poor Piñata after we had broken it to pieces?🤣🎊

It has been a fantastic week of learning, creativity and trying new experiences together!

Next week we are looking forward to a restful and relaxing week as we enjoy… Mindfulness Week 🪴🧘🏼‍♀️
