Hi everyone, last week in our after school session we made our very own autumn leaf biscuits, we practiced rolling, mixing, shaping and getting fully stuck in! we learnt lots of independence skills and even helped with the clean‑up afterwards.

We’re looking for a fantastic new team member to join us on a temporary contract, starting November 2026 through to the end of November 2027 with the possibility of becoming permanent.

If you’re enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about providing excellent service, we’d love to hear from you! 🌟

In April 2027, I’m running the London Marathon for SNOOP!!! 🏃‍♀️💛

A few facts…
More than 1 million people entered this year’s ballot, with just 17,000 general places available. So basically, the chances of getting a place were less than 2%!

The other option is to run for charity, with most places allocated to the bigger charities. This year, the London Marathon introduced a special charity ballot, giving smaller charities the chance to apply for one of just 500 places.

We applied for one…
And we were extremely lucky…
WE GOT ONE!!! 🎉💛

SNOOP is the only charity in Bradford supporting children and adults with learning disabilities, from age 2 right through to 40+, as well as their parents and carers.

SNOOP was founded by people with lived experience and is still run by people with lived experience today. That means everything we do comes from a place of understanding, empathy and wanting to make life that little bit easier for the families we support.

As SNOOP’s Fundraising Manager, I see every day how difficult it can be to keep a local charity fully funded. So I wanted to do something personal to help and that’s why I’m running the London Marathon!

I’m aiming to raise £2,000.
Every donation goes directly to SNOOP and helps us continue supporting the children, young people, adults and families who rely on our services. Even a small donation really can make a difference.

We’re excited to invite you to our Crochet a Basic Granny Square Workshop at SNOOP’s CraftAbility Skills Hub!

📅 Thursday 15th October 2026
⏰ 10am – 1pm
💷 £20 per person (includes refreshments!)

Whether you’re building confidence or brushing up your skills, this hands‑on session will guide you through:
✨ Following a pattern
✨ Working in the round
✨ Creating corners
✨ Combining stitches
✨ Joining squares in different ways

All materials are provided (4mm hooks, yarn and pattern), and extra hooks will be available to buy.
