Beat The Box

Beat The Box A youth project to raise awareness and funds for homeless people in Bradford, aiming to challenge the negative stereotypes that often surround the issue.

Let's beat the box that all too often physically and metaphorically excludes the homeless. Beat the Box is a project created by a group of 16-17 year olds who are participating in the NCS youth programme with the Woodcraft Folk. Our aim is to raise awareness about homelessness in Bradford, to highlight the issues that homeless people face and try to raise funds for a local homeless charity, BCCP,

which helps to house young people between 16 and 25 who for various reasons have become homeless and are in need of support. We have lots planned for next week as part of the project, including a massive FLASH MOB in City Park on Wednesday 11-1, and a SPONSORED STREET SLEEPOUT in Bradford on Wednesday night. Please sponsor us for the sleepout, as it will be a challenging experience for us and the more money we raise the more we will be able to support BCCP who are doing so many brilliant things to help the homeless. And if you're interested in getting involved in the flashmob on Wednesday post on here and we will give you the details! http://www.justgiving.com/BeatTheBoxBCCP Please give generously!
